This game came out the year I was born. I have owned my SNES years before I was even born, and I still regularly play it with my copies of Mega Man X1-3. Man, the SNES is my favorite console EVER! Long live the classics!

I was enthralled with the X series from the very beginning. I was never able to find the sequels in stores, forcing me to rent them from Blockbuster Video on the weekends I visited my grandmother. The first was great, but the opening theme of the second game made you realize you were in for greatness. One of the best sequels to any game from the 16-bit era, this remix recreates the sheer spine-tingling thrill of experiencing this song for the first time as X streaks through a laser barrage on a land chaser before bailing on it and sending it slamming into a normally tough enemy. Hail to Mega Man X!

Man, I thought I was the only one. I rented the game so much (for like almost two years in a row regularly...and this was back when I was renting it from a grocery store. When the SNES was being phased out and I came in they just gave me some old games and told me to go, lol) I also rented X2 a few times, then moved elsewhere. The first X game I would own is X4 used at Funcoland (didn't that become Gamestop?), then later X5 at some random electronics store, also used. Then later when I got a PS2 I got X7...also used. But for the first time ever, I owned an X game with an instruction manual. After this I picked up the X collection and finally got to play X3 (with PSX music) and X6 for the very first time.

I rent that game too in 90s. That intro stage is epic. thats the reason in X3 they tried to do it better and Capcom put Zero to use him. Maybe X2 is my fav. mmx game. Full action, the x hunters, dialogues, Zero...

The first ever Mega Man game I played was Xtreme 2 from the Gameboy Color. This music, together with those full colored sprite-CGs which I didn't know at the time was possible to see in Gameboy Color games, plus the addictingly fast paced platforming gameplay where you can screw all the enemies that come your way (Mario can hardly stop a turtle), were what made me forever a fan of the series.

The intro BREIS put into the original, combined with his implementation of double bass, AND orchestral sounds, makes this a giant orgasm for your ears. To be honest, I don't see any remix, not even the ORIGINAL, comparing to the power, epicness, and expertise that BREIS has formed. For those who thought that was TL:DR, here's my fine point... BREIS should work for Capcom. :)

listening to this i thought of an epic intro stage remake: starts with a cutscene with dialogue between x and the green biker dude..then when the song kicks in, the camera zooms out and u start playing controlling x in a 3D/2D bike sequence shooting and dodging bullets and obstacles, then enter an epic uncharted-type input sequence, green biker dude is killed, then X out of rage wrecks the bike into the first maverick robot feet, then u start playing in 3D/2D as in the original version, but the stage is better and bigger and throughout the stage u enter another biker sequence, and a falling sequence/cutscene before reaching the boss room..... CAPCOM, ARE YOU LISTENING?!?!?!?!?!!
