we're likely not purchasing a watch simply for the movement of a bezel or crown, because you can set it and be done with it, so breitling it is for me and breitling considers customer affordability more so than rolex ✋😌🤚

Rolex has that "marketing tax." Admittedly Rolex is great too but if it wasn't for marketing, Rolex, Breitling and Omega would be in the same tier in my opinion. High horology (Jaeger LeCoultre, Patek Philipe, Audemars Piguet, Ulysse Nardin, etc.) is a different level. My GADA timepiece is typically Omega, Breitling, Rolex or Tudor. I must admit that Longines has some interesting new releases...what are your thoughts?

My choice was a 44mm black with rosegold and the shark mesh. I personally like more pronounced bezel operation so for me this bezel is a spot on. I've seen super smooth bezels and to me it was a turnoff. As it has the Tudor (Rolex) mvmt and superb quality, design, materials and ergonomics it is a sound buying choice.

I was torn between this one and the 42mm rose gold. That's an incredible looking piece but since both look amazing, I couldn't justify spending a little more for the gold =). 44mm is great too and the dial on the 42mm and 44mm is subtly different! Tudor movement is great! #Breitling

But the bezel doesn't have numbers which makes it somewhat unusable unless you want to sit there trying to calculate it so they've just glanced at a number. I absolutely love this watch but I can't stand that it has no numbers because I used the watch as a timer all the time in the gym for my workouts but I guess I should put on a Casio although I love working out in a luxury watch! And I love the gold combo although mine is black

Sure, it appears Breitling are walking a fine line here: They've offered a gold desk diver that's less sporty i.e. no digits, but is more jewelery oriented, more bling, clean dial and lines. It is obvious that at this price+ people don't get the watch to tell the time. Like in car racing- you can race in stock Ferrari but 99% of times they use race only cars...Same applies to deep diving or going to the Moon.

@@myyord7963 My biggest gripe with the SOHII is that they need to UP their lume game and clasp game! Other than that, it's an exceptional timepiece (in 42mm).

Stunning watch, nice bracelet, $20 clasp. May I ask what the bracelet size reduces down to? Maybe it can be used with an 18mm Strapcode ratchet clasp. I have one on my current watch and I like being able to adjust it on wrist.

I’ll have to check to see what size the bracelet is on the clasp end. It definitely tapers. Yeah, the clasp is the least desirable aspect of this excellent timepiece! #SOHII

This bezel is crisp and so easy to turn, with zero back play! So much better than the scalloped seamasters!

I’ve owned 2 SeaMasters in my lifetime(still have a 2022 300P) and they have the worst bezel action of any diver I have ever tried. Own a SOH2 and love it.

Sounds like your watch has been fine and hot tubs but is that a good idea in general? I don't know either way, just asking because I wear mine and all kinds of situations and the only time I take it off pretty much as in the hot tub

If a watch isn’t perfectly sealed, a hot tub can create havoc. A hot tub and sauna are likely the two most questionable environments for a dive watch.

Steam will damage the rubber gaskets that seal the watch case, and is a good idea to avoid steam with a watch.

Thanks and it's holding up exceptionally well. This video was filmed after several years of wear. Since it has the shark mesh bracelet and ceramic bezel, the only places that really show scratches are the polished case and polished clasp. Breitling makes exceptional watch cases and I feel that the scratches simply give it character. #Breitling

I am indifferent about the all polished case. Too blingy and scratch magnet. Otherwise, the watch is badass. Rubber is my preference on this watch, plus it tones the watch down for a more sporty look.

You discuss the action of the bezel a lot and how it falls short to other competitors, but what makes it worse to me is the bezel is not numbered in any way. That sort of takes away from its use as a timing bezel. But anyway I liked it enough to buy one in black. I also have a black bay black bezel eta, 114060, 2500 planet ocean, and ceramic smp and I rotate them all regularly. They all offer different experiences for different circumstances.

Great point about no numbers on the SOHII bezel! I noticed that but never really thought about it. That is a great rotation that you have! I need to pick up another Omega soon before they go through the stratosphere in price.

Thanks! For Breitling SuperOcean Heritage 2, I'd definitely suggest blue or black with the shark mesh bracelet. It's super comfortable and I've encountered no issues with water resistance. I do believe that this wristwatch will likely become a future classic! As far as Tudor is concerned, buy a Rolex first and then a Tudor. I'd recommend the Tudor Black Bay Fifty-Eight or Tudor Black Bay Chrono. You'll probably find that original Tudor Black Bay has a case that is too thick. The case thickness on this Breitling works fine but it doesn't for the Tudor Black Bay in my honest opinion. Most importantly, try on and then buy what fits you best and don't let an authorized dealer "sell you" on something that you don't want =)

@@IrixGuy Hey I was just joking think you mentioned it as the most comfortable bracelet you ever had at least 10 times. I bought the chronometer with the gold accents, It came with the black rubber bracelet that has a fantastic clasp tool less micro adjustment. I bought a clone Breitling silver mesh, I cant tell the difference except the Chinese one is 80 the ones from Breitling are 700.. I bought a cooper/rose gold bracelet from Spiel the german company that makes the mesh bracelet for Brietling for 325 absolutely stunning. And also a Black Mesh. After all this I decided the black rubber mesh bracelet looked the best. The 18 K accents and the gold on the chrono dials is almost too much Pop, and also the black rubber looked best against the silver lugs and gold accents.

@@IrixGuy Im a bigger guy I wear a 48mm Super avenger and i have a cross wind special it is 44... the 44 seems a bit small after wearing the super avenger.. maybe 44 SOH 2 is a good compromise
