In the last couple of weeks I went through the process of completely upgrading the brakes on the Yamaha MT-10/FZ-10. This included steel braided lines, brake pads and a brembo master cylinder. Brembo RCS is junk. Seal goes, throw it in the bin. Not serviceable.

If you want to use it in race mode on the street, you could always adjust the rear brake light switch to switch on early (as in before the pads make proper contact) and gently drag on the rear brake to put the light on

I've just installed an rcs17cc on my Tuono v4, and the setup I prefer is: R mode with 20mm offset. The brakes are now as good as my BMW.

It's the diameter of the pump. Nothing to do with the lever.

This Brembo master cylinder looks like a pricy single use item. I bet there are no spares or a misterious little bit deteriorates with time that totally spoils the effort as it's unavailable or irreplaceable. Its like wrapping a shit in a gift box in hope it's gonna stop stinking...

Same. Im using it for more than a year now. No issue at all except for the reservoir cap. It leaks brake fluid and 1 time my reservoir emptied hahaha

On my bike it has a brembo radial master, but no way to adjust the freeplay with a dial. Is it possible to adjust the free play in any other way?

Well, your brake switch change is still a mystery to me. We're you able to fit the OEM brake switch to it or you purchased other than one came with brembo

You can adjust midway 18-20 or anywhere between to fine tune this.

How'd you arrive at the 19 model, choice-wise? I have a vastly different bike, and I'm hearing different things. 17 seems to be the consensus, but all from people who don't race and never put a master on a bike before, so who knows what to choose? zx4-rr,

It’s been a while since I did some research on this. My understanding is it really depends on the brake setup you have on your bike. You would not put 19 on a 300 because the caliper on those bikes are much smaller than bigger bikes. The bigger master would just have too much power for you to have a good feel at lever on a 300. 19 is good for bigger bikes that use large multi caliper/rotor setups that are also heavy weight (like 1000cc). For zx4 17 sounds about right but I have done no research regarding those bikes.
