I was a young fat kid who was born in Papua New Guinea and then came down with my parents after Independence to start a new life. Mum and Dad bought a corner store in Broadbeach which saw many of the girls who worked at Les Girls come in for their groceries. I was in awe of these mythical creatures and over the years my parents would recount that they were among their most respected customers. I saw Courtney in Brisbane a few years ago and there was almost a bridal table set up at the back of the room with the History of Drag and they were treated like royalty deservedly. What a blessed person I was to look at the performers coming into our shop and not think WTF but oh my god, they are golden and part of the fabric of Australia. Thank you Vanity and Courtney for flying the flag.

I think Vanity passed down the technique of enhancing the face to Courtney instead of putting on a new one and that's why people see you ladies as resembling each other. But in my opinion, Courtney paints lighter and more "sheer" because she can while Vanity goes full glam, deep lines and subtle illusions. Loves it!

I love this because the first time that I saw a photo of the two of you together (it was baby Courtney) I thought Vanity was Courtney and Courtney was someone else. In my opinion you two have a similar face structure and nose shape to begin with and being that Courtney learned from (and emulated) Vanity it makes sense that she takes after her mother.
