Hummm, you’re not telling me anything I didn’t already know Darlin. I lived in Phoenix, and was at the time, Miss Gay Pride 99/00 . The year of my step down, Ru was supposed to perform. Imagine selling front row seats at $50 a pop. We had pre-sale tickets for her show. Ru came to do her sound check and had her limo drive right up to the stage (which was on a grass hill) and she told the guy in charge (who happens to be my lover) she wasn’t going to step on the grass with her heals on. She demanded the boards be placed down. So the next day when she was supposed to perform, our event was interrupted by what people call a dust devil. A big wind storm. And Ru didn’t want to wait until after the storm to perform. We had angry people at the gates yelling where’s RuPaul? Some of the volunteers and board members told them some hotel. But it wasn’t the real hotel. I’ve heard from other Pride groups that she was nasty to work with etc… For me, with everything I’ve heard from the tea and shade, looks like everything’s a sham. I guess that’s what happens when you’ve forgotten where you’ve come from. From forgetting names of your past winners, to, nothing matters to me unless that cameras rolling. Girl why is it I have my TV turned up all the way to 100 and yet I can still barely hear what she's saying so much so that when a commercial comes on it blasts so loudly the neighbors probably here but yeah and she comes back on it's almost a whisper?
