I could watch the two of you 24/7!! Love everything that you both stitched and bought!! Brenda, your sewing room is amazingly beautiful!! I'm so jealous!! I have stitched many of the Prairie Schooler Santas over the years on 7 ct Klostern with #5 pearl cotton from DMC. The past 4 years I've stitched them on 40 0r 46 ct linen for my grandson. He loves them. I can't wait until Alma and Barb release the designs from the Attic retreat! They are just beautiful !! Looking 😊♥️

I'm not going to lie. When you held up the BBD Peppermint & Holly booklet, I almost fell out my chair!!! LOL. I was unfortunate enough to not have a LNS when I was younger and I wasn't one to "stray" far from home either, lol. Almost 6 years ago, we moved to south Louisiana and that was also when I stopped working. I got more involved in social media and that's when I started learning about all these designers that I never knew existed. And then I learn there is a LNS about 30-45 minutes away from me and OMGoodess I was in heaven. Finally had something other than aida to stitch on and don't even get me started on the hand dyed threads!!! LOL I enjoy ya's videos so much. Love seeing all the pretty silks and all the beautiful fabrics! Makes me wish I had never quit working, lol. Ya take care, Ruth.

You two are amazing and I so enjoy your videos. You can record as long as you like as I am stitching away and listening and looking up when necessary. Such beautiful work from both of you and so many wonderful plans. I must tell you that the Needlework Press book of days is the best thing ever. I bought one last year and have kept a record daily and you will be amazed at what progression you make in a year's time. I have not added it up yet, but will at the end of December which will give me an idea as to what I can accomplish in a year's time. I wish I could work from my stash instead of being tempted when I see your show and tell along with all the other floss tubers out there. Just love it all. Oh, Brenda, it was fun to see your stitching room posted yesterday even though I didn't comment. Isn't it nice to have a happy place. I have one room as well with a walk-in thread closet. LOL. So enjoyable! I am starting Mabel Chard so as to meet my regulatory requirements for 2019. I really appreciate the time you take to show all the stitching, haul and WIPs. I am with you, it needs to be 60 minutes to get some good stitching in!

Laura and Brenda, you are a fabulous team! A great addition to Flosstube. You both explain the pieces you are working on perfectly from pattern designer, fabric and threads! When is the next big get together at The Attic? June for Bristol samplers? Keep up the great inspiration for all of us out here in Flosstube Land!
@brendaandtheserialstarter24105 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much Marcia!!!! There is a sampler symposium in January at the attic, but I think it is sold out. Do you get the newsletter from the attic???? Go to their website and sign up. Also you can look at past ones and find out wonderful information. There is a ton of eye candy in the newsletters!!! We wish we were going to the Bristol sampler thing next June, but cannot fit it in. I would LOVE to do that one!!! Thank you for your very kind comments!!!!

Wonderful inspiration. I think I can totally identify with the serial stitcher name 😂. I have 3 Prairie Schoolers laying on my sewing table to finish and working on 3 more along with a couple of samplers, one that Heidi Cran is doing as well. Love to watch you two. Perfect pair.

Oh how I enjoy your video’s! I can hardly wait to sit down and watch when I get a message that a new one is up. 😊. The chemistry between the 2 of you is priceless and often tickles my funny bone. Sixty minutes seems like 30, so please continue on with 60.❤️ I hope to one day meet you, Brenda and Laura, as you have inspired me to pick up my needles and stitch after much too long of a break. Your choices are right up my alley too. 🤓 Thank you for sharing yourselves with all of us!!

Love all the Christmas inspiration. I pulled Mary Clayton out a couple of days ago and working on the house, you are going to enjoy that. So glad you are sharing all the linen for that Filbert and Old Towne Blend is beautiful. Also thanks to both of you, I am trying 40 count and it really is not too bad to stitch on. So going to try a redwork Sampler on 40 count.
@brendaandtheserialstarter24105 жыл бұрын
Thanks Renee!!!!! How exciting!!! Remember you have to give it a bit of time to adjust to the 40 count. I did not really like it at first and now I love it. Also, some linen has a tighter weave on 40 count so I suggest starting with an R&R or Weeks with the Zweigart base. Hope you love it!

I don't stitch xmas so I almost tuned out. So glad I stayed in to see your biscornus! You did such a great job on those. Especially the hardanger one. I'm going back and getting caught up on your videos. I'm hoping there is one where you do a tutorial. They were so nicely stitched together and full. I have a Victoria sampler biscornu pattern that I got recently. Scared! LOL
