I just love watching you two! It's such a delight! You remind me of my best friend! We met in elementary school when we were 10 and have been best friends ever since-47 years! Oh my all the wonderful goodies you had to share with us !! What amazing gifts you both had, makes me happy for both of you 😊 The joy on your faces as you open and appreciate makes me sit here in my home and just smile. The bond between you two touches my heart every time. I love how you each think of the other , whichever one cant make a trip the other brings back goodies for them. Heartwarming to say the least yo see your friendship. Now my question for you both is this. How long does it take to find a home for everything in this video ? 🤣🤣. Laura, I have a small ‘floppy’ project bag also, instead of the stiffer vinyl-fronted bags. So very pleased to see you with yours. Up until now, I was rather ashamed of it because it wasn’t like all the beautifully stiffer bags. Thank you for giving me pride in my choice from Stitcher’s Paradise from Vegas. (Sometimes you can get that way.) I’m so pleased that the designers are making their books so that they are being spiral bound. It makes stitching a bit easier.

Such a fun stash parade! It’s so nice having friends who buy more stash than I do! Debra didn’t think that was possible!! Anyway, great video today. Laura, with your Vpotoky stand? You will be able to perfect your Queen stitches in no time with two-handed stitching! Just remember to use your dominant hand below the hoop! That hand finds the holes so much easier when stitching from underneath! ❤️

I just adore Hobby House! Have used them for what feels like years and they are wonderful. I have a potokey I have had for a while but it doesn't look like yours....I may have to order another!! It takes MONTHS for them to get here, so it is good to know they may be at Hobby House. I stitch two handed....I will give you a tip, take one of those rubber shelf liner things and use a rubber band to put it on and it keeps it from slipping around on your lap so much....also, you can use a weight if you need more stability on your lap. LOVE mine.

I had really missed you two; I have an upper respiratory that I just can't shake so I've been doing extra stitching but no Brenda and Laura to watch. Lots of fun to see all your nice haul and hear the stories. I have to ask if LaRue from the Dying to Stitch retreat was local to Virginia Beach? If so, I'm pretty sure she was my neighbor when we lived in Va Beach 20 years ago. Now that would be amazing! Her dad was in WW2 in France and named her LaRue because he thought it sounded so pretty.

I love, love, love your videos. (see what I did there? 😄) So glad you are back. Thanks for all the laughs, the inspiration, and for sharing your enthusiasm for Hobby House Needleworks. A friend of mine lives near there and I am sure would echo your sentiments about that shop. I really should try to make the trip up sometime. I laughed at so many parts of this video, but my favorite was when Laura told Brenda to close her eyes, and then asked *us* "Did she close them?" So funny! You are both great. Thanks for the video!! Hi ladies. Ireally enjoyed your recaps of the retreats especially the Dyeing to Stitch retreat. We live in Myrtle Beach now (previously Fredericksburg VA) and our son lives in VA Beach. So whenever we see him, we also see Ann and Robin. Ann loves our dog and gives her treats when we go. I've done cross stitch for many years and my wife does counted canvaswork. I messaged Ann before the release when I heard you were coming and told her I wish I could work up the courage to attend one and ahead said I should. I think I would feel like a fish out of water but it sounds like a good time and it would have been fun to meet you. Well I'll be waiting for you next video so I can see what you have been up to Mike Hayden

I loved seeing all the goodies from the HHN trip. I stitched Jane Elizabeth Milner in the Appleton. Just a tip, I dropped to 28ct on the fabric. I found the 30ct swan to be too tight for my taste. I didn't want it to sour you on the wool, I love working with wool and I was about to ditch it and go DMC but a friend sent me the 28ct and said try this. Viola! I'm even thinking of going back and purchasing the appleton option for the Jane Ada Featherstone because I loved working with it so much. Brenda I love your retreat memory book. Great idea ! I wish I had been doing that for years, I am also an avid rug hooker so it would have been nice to have notes from all the friends I have crossed paths with over the years. Not too late to start I guess.
