She was very immature and bragged about how badly she treats her fans and how much disdain she has for them, and he seemed so taken aback by her comments and said something like “You’ve got a long way to go,” basically telling her she needs to be more humble. It's corporate culture, not Hollywood's own. I've previously worked in non-entertainment-related fields and those were every bit as awful as the film and TV business, if not actually worse. The volleying back and forth between these two kind souls both made my cheeks hurt from smiling and had me in tears. The way Sandler lets people in his friend group and never lets them go (displayed in the mentioning of his dear brother Farley) tugs at my heart. The way Fraser chooses his words with genuine care tugs at my emotions. Even would seem small, insignificant banter in this interview like Brendan caring enough to remember a name from 30 years ago (Steve Buscemi's young child) are like a window into Fraser's kind and caring soul. Maybe it's just my vivid imagination, but I felt like I could see Sandler remembering how much he loves Fraser as the conversation went on. Like, "Holy shit. I forgot how much I love this guy. I'm never letting him go." Hollywood, we never stopped loving these guys. Keep giving them vessels they can poor their talent in. We, the audience, never want to let them go.

But I also have a diagnosed eating disorder and was raised by an anorexic mother who used food as a form of love and reward for me. It's a vicious mental and physical cycle to get out off, and for many people it's an addiction that isn't as simple as quitting. You can't just quit food like you can alcohol or drugs.
