And even then, Brendan wanted to give Adam his flowers back, and said some truly compelling and heartfelt things that not just resonated with me, but seemed to really make Adam reflect. Brendan is just genuine good person and friend, no matter how much time passes since "the good old times". We all hopefully have a friend like that in our lives.

Seeing Brendan in this state is so fucking heart wrenching, man.. such a wonderful, caring, talented human being, and yet here he sits so fragile, vulnerable, and seemingly half the man he once was.. and Adam is a true legend, the way he read Brendan's needs and allowed this to be a trip down memory lane for Brendan was a fine example of what it means to be a friend; sure, the spotlight may be on you, but that doesn't mean that you're always the one who needs to shine. Much love to both of these incredible human beings, I'll forever hold them both to such high esteem, and this tête-à-tête is but a minor reason why.

Exactly! They both seem like such kind men. I remember how annoyed Adam seemed when he did the Actor on Actor interview a few years ago with Jennifer Lawrence. She was very immature and bragged about how badly she treats her fans and how much disdain she has for them, and he seemed so taken aback by her comments and said something like “You’ve got a long way to go,” basically telling her she needs to be more humble. There is a reason people like Adam, Brendan, and Keanu Reeves are know as being some of the kindest people in Hollywood. ❤❤

People constantly say things like this about Hollywood and the entertainment industry as a whole, yet ignore the fact business in general is much the same. It's corporate culture, not Hollywood's own. I've previously worked in non-entertainment-related fields and those were every bit as awful as the film and TV business, if not actually worse. Talk to a lawyer, or a stock broker, or a medical intern for instance. But it's not even just the high end professional level; the business world sucks, no matter what part of it you're in.

The way Sandler lets people in his friend group and never lets them go (displayed in the mentioning of his dear brother Farley) tugs at my heart. The way Fraser chooses his words with genuine care tugs at my emotions. Even would seem small, insignificant banter in this interview like Brendan caring enough to remember a name from 30 years ago (Steve Buscemi's young child) are like a window into Fraser's kind and caring soul. Maybe it's just my vivid imagination, but I felt like I could see Sandler remembering how much he loves Fraser as the conversation went on. Like, "Holy shit. I forgot how much I love this guy. I'm never letting him go." Hollywood, we never stopped loving these guys. Keep giving them vessels they can poor their talent in. We, the audience, never want to let them go.

I found myself tearing up as Brendan spoke about The Whale. I've struggled with my weight my entire life and I could feel the compassion and understanding from him. I feel immensely proud and moved by his bravery to return to the film world despite everything he's been through. He's a fantastic actor who deserves every success.

Do you struggle because you don’t put in the physical work day in and day out to be at a healthy weight?

That is great and all but don't use the message in the movie as an excuse to carry on being obese. Physical and mental health are both important.

@@AA13028 Partially yes, and I take full ownership of that. I'm working on it and did a marathon in June. But I also have a diagnosed eating disorder and was raised by an anorexic mother who used food as a form of love and reward for me. It's a vicious mental and physical cycle to get out off, and for many people it's an addiction that isn't as simple as quitting. You can't just quit food like you can alcohol or drugs.

@Alex Aliev I think the mental work part is harder. Society addicts us to sugar in every damn thing which makes calories out of control when it shouldn't be. Work culture got us too tired to cook and cook healthy with healthy portions.

Love the chemistry in this inteview, which is really more of a conversation between friends. The admiriation and mutual respect and love these two have for each other comes through. Both quality human beings in my book.

Two absolute legends of my youth. I couldn't be happier that I get to continue watching movies still being made with them. Especially in the case of Brendan Fraser. I was heart broken with what he went through, but I'm glad he's back and hopefully has many more amazing movies to come!

Airheads was one of my favorite movies growing up. Now these two have led super dramatic amazing movies (Uncut Gems, The Whale) and proved that they got acting chops just as much as any other dramatic actor. Love these guys!

OMG!!! This video could have been 12+ hours and I would still be sitting here enjoying every second with these two sharing stories and experiences through the entertainment business and you can tell they have a great history together as friends throughout their careers and that is such an amazing thing to witness. I can see that the two of them haven't been around each other for a lot of years but they both pick back up from where they left off. I absolutely love that Brendan has been given the opportunity to come out of the shadow and back into the Light of popularity because it brought him back in a huge way and gave him a second chance at life. I hope all goes well for them both in their future work and endeavors. Glad to see you guys are doing well Adam and Brendan, have been and will always be a fan for life!
