This year’s award season is clearly about tenacity, stamina, and redemption. Between him, Ke Huy Quan, and Michelle Yeoh, all their stories are darn inspiring!!!
I can’t believe he went from the guy we knew from the mummy to basically a hermit. Seeing him get nervous and show such raw emotion and overcome his fears gives me and so many other people hope and inspiration. He’s been so underrated for far to long. Way over do. Congratulations.

All people went by and lived their lives normally, they studied worked while I kept fighting my demons ... but I am very proud of how far I've come, I felt him when he gave that profound speech and started tearing up.. such people deserve healing and happiness after long battles. I hope you heal too and your life gets better, be proud of yourself.

You have one of the hardest jobs. I took care of my mother with dementia. At night I turned to alcohol to deal with the misery and stress. Might be best for you and your mental health to find a assisted living facility. Not sure about your financial situation but it saved my life. I still have PTSD from the stress . It was Hell on earth literally.

Spinal damage, including, skull, neck, and lower back. He's was hanged and literally set on fire. And yet I saw so many people bash him for reasons I can't fathom and could never understand. If you don't like someone maybe you should look in the mirror and explore yourself. It may very well be YOU that's the problem. I've always loved Brendon and I never forgot him. The Whale was incredible, indeed a masterpiece. I hope the people that spoke ill of him, no matter the reason, are forced to endured part of shame Brendon has felt.

The subtilties were breathtaking in his expressions, and even in the pauses between the dialogue. I'm still marveling at his innate ability to take on another persona in such a believable way, and feel the pain of Charlie. I didn't realize that he had gone through some trauma and struggled with injury and pain that led to some weight gain and depression. And all of us can relate to that! I am so happy he's back! I commend him so much for, as a man, having the strength to be vulnerable and cry in front of all these flashy people in Hollywood where you are constantly being judged by how you look. There's so few humble and genuine people in the limelight, I can feel the depth and emotion of every word he speaks... He's speaking from experience... And he's standing there raising & praising everyone but himself... He deserves it man. Mummy 1 & 2 and George of the Jungle made my childhood special, and he made me appreciate life in a special way now as a grown up.

His performance will save so many people, and help them see the light. To be able to do that in a few hours is an incredible gift. This movie and his performance is timeless, a film that will never fail to move me.

I'm so happy to see how far Brendan has come in his career, from when he starred in some of my favorite childhood films like The Mummy, The Mummy Returns, and George of the Jungle. Even in his lowest points in life, he's still willing to make a comeback after his long absence from acting. He really did deserve his award for such a grand performance. Thank you Brendan for being a part of my childhood, and I hope you'll continue to shine bright. ^^

Holy shit the emotion in this speech is absolutely piercing. The dude deserves the absolute best in life. I love this man, such a big part of my childhood and all the shit he's been through in life only to finally get what he deserves. IN 2022 we need more genuine actors, Brendan is one of the few genuine ones out there.

I was rooting for this guys comeback before he even did this movie. I’m happy that everyone realized this guy was a massive part of their childhoods and this guy deserve way more credit than he was given. I really don’t like that the good ones often get forgotten. I watched The Whale Sunday Night, and it was beautiful. A bittersweet film. I loved it. All the emotion hit at the very end just like that beautiful orchestral ending. I cried like a baby. Thank you Brendan we love you!

I always liked Brendan. After my wife died, it was several weeks later my brother and his gf were at my place watching Blast from the Past. I fell for him in "Encino Man" with Polly Shore. I was so confused because he just seemed to disappear. Then recently I saw stuf about him and discovered what happened to him. My heart just goes out to him. I wish I was able to be his friend, people need supportive friends when one is going through hell and is recovering from one's experience of that hell. I hope his friends are really good ones! He needs good friends.
