Stop The World I Wanna Get Off! Yeah. “Conspiracy theorist” is a command word to dismiss rational analysis. Fifteen years ago, I finally stopped reading any British newspapers. Shortly thereafter, I switched off BBC Radio 4 for good. At least I had had the sense to get rid of my television back in the 1980s. Fake news and cultural Marxism led me to pursue the kind of alternative, online sources of quality news and analysis which are now, thankfully, readily available. Good riddance to the BBC and the legacy media.

Have you noticed how some people also claim that BBC is right leaning? To me this seems like BBC have to have at least some content leaning both ways. But maybe all content that you see are left from your political point. Could it just mean then that your political views are relatively strongly right wing? Can you give it fair objective look? I don't personally know where BBC is positioned in political map. I neither know how much does reporting move in the political map depending on journalists working on story. I have noticed same that there is way too much baseless stuff going on media but it happens in both sides of political scale. Situation appears to be even worse in some smaller media companies which have chosen monetization strategy depending on social media clicks. Personally I like to read news from differently biased media to get more balanced view of what is going on.

@@suokkos "Have you noticed how some people also claim that BBC is right leaning?" Another dimwit spouting that logical fallacy cliche about the BBC being "unbiased" because it's attacked from both-sides. For a start, no one accuses the BBC of being "right-wing". Certainly, there's accusations that it's pro-Tory due to its harsh and sometimes unfair criticism of Labour, but that's not the same thing. Party political bias is not the same as political or cultural bias. How many ex-BBC employees have you heard of, that upon jumping ship, have confessed to the BBC being institutionally biased to the Right? Literally none. They have ALL, from Rod Liddle, to Robin Aitken, Peter Sissons and John Humphries, etc, categorically stated that the BBC has an institutional liberal-left bias. Even the BBC's own internal report came to the same conclusion. Infact, how could it have a "right-wing bias" by the very structure of the way it is financed, via an enforced tax, makes it the opposite of Right-wing (small-state free market)?

From your description: "The Oxford Union is the world's most prestigious debating society..." How then is it that those who attend the debates and vote on the propositions are consistently foolish, immature and easily led by demagogic rhetoric, i.e., an unthinking herd? Matriculating from uni and remaining there as tutors ensures that faculty remain as adolescent and unchallenged in their untested thinking as do their students. A decade ago the students would never have voted against this (admittedly over simplistic) notion. They're sheep. Sheep ten years ago, sheep today. No long term perspective. Caught up in the narratives of the echo chamber. When I was young, I read all the mainstream media, thinking that thereby my opinions were well informed. And in some ways that was true. I was certainly plugged in to the zeitgeist - the zeitgeist as determined by the class of people who contribute to newspapers. But there was a lot going on which didn't get attention. I was well informed in only a shallow sense. Nowadays I am frequently shocked and terrified by the hysterical coverage in the mainstream media, and the infiltration of the culture war into even the best reporting.

The most dangerous man in the world is feared by empires of war and control. Why does he still breathe? When he was in the Embassy, the UK Govt assigned 50-60 police outside to guard it? Was that fear or protection? He was safe in the streets roaming across Europe, he was safe in Iceland, in his friend's mansion with a police ankle tracker, he was safe in the Embassy, he is safe today in prison, in a bullet proof glass cage or a police van travelling to Westminster Courts. He's always been safe. Why? He's protected wherever he is on this Earth. In my opinion and thinking, his universal purpose protects him as the populations of this world mobilise. Purpose protects until purpose is fulfilled and protection no longer required. His free will is never on HOLD. Purpose is paramount. It's always been about mobilisation. It's always been about bringing peace. It's always been about truth and eradicating war and corruption. He will not be silenced. He stands, he speaks, he mocks the magistrate, he mocks his situation. More importantly he mobilises the people. We will not be silenced either. We bring peace and truth. We protect free speech. His purpose is our purpose. We too are protected. Unfortunately, O’Neill got it wrong in his very first sentence. It’s not opinions that count, it’s experience. And that’s why our western civilisation is dying as we watch. We are governed (by both government and media) by highly “educated” people but with almost no actual experience of how things work. Instead they have read lots of books - written by people who have read a lots of books!! We are governed by theorists at best, but often by people daft enough to believe what they read in the books they have been instructed to read by people who have only read books. So they are nonplussed when they hear that ordinary working people vote Tory or don’t believe in virtually unlimited benefit payments to the poor. These university type people simply can’t imagine why that is so, when the reality is so obvious to those of us who don’t care about theory, only facts. Us ordinary folk might live quite poorly, in ordinary homes, but three doors down there is a family with six children where neither mother or father have ever had a job. But instead get involved in fights and arguments with their neighbours; and their children run riot every night. We know giving such people more money will only get them more drunk more often. And that’s just for starters.
