Ah agree that Brendan played ah masterclass on Saturday evening , I too thought Hatate could’ve been subbed but the manager’s faith in him prevailed and it was to Celtic’s benefit , let’s have it right with so many options for the manager to consider in game his task is different from the manager in the opposition dugout who’s in game choices are lesser and therefore ah much simpler task , the difference from last year and the fans frustration at the percieved poor bench has been much improved and it is ah fckn joy to witness

Just catching up. One of the best games I was at was at Tynecastle at night. Hearts scored (they thought) right way, the celebratory music comes on, ball breaks and Scott Brown scores . We win 0-4. What a night 💚

The issues with Idah have been with his touch and link up play. They haven’t been good enough so far. He will get plenty of chances to score but needs to improve his all round game. We are commenting on what we see.

Think Yang has looked promising on his last two cameos coming on as a sub, but agree we need another winger. Time for us to let go of Palma in January and replace with a contributor

Celtic should be pushing for police action to identify who sent that image in. We don’t know if the Hearts member of staff didn’t know who it was. It’s a police job. I guarantee you if a Celtic fan had posted a similar image they’d be in jail right now.

I still think BR can get something out of Yang. He’ll never Jota or Kuhn, but he’s a good wee athlete. If game can be shored up against mid- to lower table domestic teams this year, Celtic have a usable player there. You’d hope he presses on from there but not betting on that. Him Cruyff turning two guys from Lazio is stuck in my mind. Bernardo is class. Great skills. I do disagree with previous comments about his range of passing, I think it’s average, but he’s great in tight spaces with control and passing. I think he should start regularly, but seeing him come on, especially in Scotland, with that skill while also putting himself about like an overly-excited Newfoundland puppy must be terrible for all but the best midfielders who has just chased Celtic for 60-70 minutes. Thunderbolt of a right foot too, that shot against Hearts was going to blow a hole in the net if it didn’t get blocked, it was on target to my eyes.
@stephenwalker8504 күн бұрын
Disagree with the criticism of the team in the first half , Hearts were solid for the first half and took some breaking down , but , let’s have it right , they were broken down and beaten well
@den2644 күн бұрын
As Saint Martin said after the game, Hearts lacked pace. I sgree, they could not keep up with Maeda and Kune for our second goal. Even Jamsie was running the legs off them @ 33 years old.

Liam Scales has been our most improved and most consistent Defender, both last season and this season, as a modern centre-back required to also fulfill a sweeper role playing in a system that adopts such a high line and simultaneously, as an auxiliary left-back, due to how much Taylor inverts. For the record, the same can be said for CCV's ability to cover multiple responsibilities in unison, but we are talking about the vast improvement of Scales. Rodger's decision to unceremoniously drop him at the end of October (even after one of the best LCB displays for the club in many years, witnessed in Bergamo), looks to have been fully backed and widely accepted by the majority of our support, on the basis Scales was somehow deemed to be responsible for our defensive frailties. Even though there is absolutely no statistical data to suggest such, let's hypothetically propose that is indeed the case and he deserves to be dropped for Trusty, due to consistent poor performances. Now, where is the same level of consistency from Rodgers for the likes of Taylor (especially) and Engels, if we to follow the same logic? Both are consistently the weakest in the team every week in terms of efficiency and productivity. Engels, of course, can very much be excused for a lot of things compared to abysmal Taylor, but 3 good games out of 13 starts is someone that is not being selected on merit, but rather to uphold his inflated price tag. The fact they are playing ahead of the excellent Valle (especially) and Bernardo, clearly demonstrates favouritism by the Manager and contradicts dropping Scales for alleged poor form. Where is the same outcry from said supporters and the demand to drop out of form players like Taylor and Engels, as there was for Scales, the fall guy?

Hey look its Asim, who doesn't have a metal detecting excuse for not showing up! I'm not making excuses for clubs, but when you consider the perceived second biggest team in Scotland can't even afford players, maybe for the smallest clubs like Hearts they probably can't afford to pay for the extra security.
