I love and miss Brendan. He was like The Joker, Deadpool and other anti-heroes. You’re not supposed to love the bad stuff he does you’re supposed to love the fact that despite of his bad side he can also do something good and selfless. Brendan is probably one of the best characters ever written on Hollyoaks because he has so many layers to him.

@@NoirFan84 Maybe after at least 20 years in prison, it depends. It would be too stupid if he came back to Hollyoaks even if I understand that the fans want to. I can´t think of any reason why he should even if it is a silly soap where not so much is realistic. I liked the storytelling between Brendan and Ste though and all the bad and good things that happened with a little realistic end. There were some really moving scenes. The story can be seen here again.

Brendan emptied the gun whilst cleaning his sisters finger prints on it when she was crying as he knew if her prints are on it she would get life sentence... he said to her “unconditional love, he would do anything for his baby sister, even take a bullet ” - he knew if he showed the arm police the empty gun they will shoot him on the spot that’s why he confessed to all murders and prayed , Cheryl screamed running up as she realised what he was going to do that’s why he closed the door so she wouldn’t see him get shot and he said “I’ll see you in the next life ste” (the police didn’t know he was holding a empty gun obvs until he died) that’s why at the end they showed Brendan and Cheryl at their young age where Brendan has gone to heaven (hollyoaks style)

Brendan tried to commit suicide by cop. He pulled an unloaded gun on them, Cheryl realised what he was intending to do. It didn't work though as they just shot him in the shoulder & disarmed him.

If all of the clips from the archives are to be about Brendan, I hope they show the real Brendan. Brendan mugging his own sister then lying about it for months, Brendan punching Ste in the gut in the basement of chezchez, Brendan murdering his own grandmother, Brendan dealing drugs, Brendan murdering Danny Houston, Brendan sucker punching Ste outside Ste's flat, Brendan causing Rae to miscarry, Brendan hitting Ste in the face in his (Brendan's) flat, Brendan using a handsaw to carve up Joel's stepdad, Brendan cheating on his wife, Brendan bullying Amy, Brendan abusing Ste again, Brendan involved in the death of four other people, Brendan threatening to beat up Kevin, Brendan holding Ste on the ground and hitting him about six times in the face, Brendan berating Carmel for burning up his drugs, Brendan conspiring to have his own dad killed, and so forth. You know, the real Brendan.

The real Brendan has many sides both good and bad. It´s important to make a nuanced picture of a person instead of obsessing about the bad. You clearly didn´t see the whole story and you didn´t want to see the good things in Brendan. People who don´t have a nuanced picture of a person are dangerous as they don´t show the intellect needed to handle people like Brendan. It´s like the police in the US that are racist and think that every black person is bad. That view is narrow-minded and dangerous.

Brendan's defenders bury their heads in the sand when it comes to all of his atrocities to a lot of different people. That means he has been in prison two years for each. I wonder how the people he murdered, abused, cheated, threatened, bullied, stole from, lied to, drugged feel about him being let out of prison. No, 10 years is not nearly long enough.

Just watched this episode on All 4. I went off hollyoaks when he left. I watch it every now and then but not much. I know brendan was the bad guy but I couldn't help but love him. He's a great actor and he stole the show. Same as Warren. Brendans a better baddie then Warren though 😁
