If you are not getting 2% with most of your purchases on the card you are not shopping in the right places. Apple Pay is everywhere these days. Come on man

@@RonnieM90 Oh no, Walmart, Kroger and Sam's Club does not accept Apple Pay! However will you eat? Come on man get real. There are plenty of places that do accept that form of payment. Those are not the only stores you go to for groceries and if it is then you need to redo your grocery list. If you need suggestions please let me know. I got you covered.

Great stuff and I made it to the end of the video so honey. Really enjoyed the vid, I recently got the Apple card and I love it. I use it for my apple subscriptions and roll that 3% into my savings account from the card so my money spent is making money as well.

For the record, Goldman Sachs wanted a divorce before Apple did. GS is losing millions and millions of dollars on the Apple card, and consumer products in general. The only way GS can make money is with interest. Because all Apple card accounts close on the same day every month, this means GS customer support is inundated with calls on the same couple days every month. Other issuers distribute closing dates through the month to spread out the CS calls.

Maybe just go for the well known financial institution. Since Goldman holds the savings accounts for Apple, you could just go directly with Goldman. I have an account with them. I think they actually have a higher yield than the Apple savings right now. Sure there might be higher yield HYSA but I don't feel as confident in them. Goldman has been around for 155 years.

@@tdiggitydogz Or you can go to Goldman Sachs directly with their HYSA. The funny thing is when Apple first introduced their HYSA they had a higher APY. Now if you get a HYSA Marcus has the higher APY now. So in a sense if you want to deal with the bank directly then just signing up with Goldman would be a no brainer.

I would assume if you are a customer they would have to send you updates. The problem with the Yota situation isn't that the bank failed it's that it was using services of a middle man that connects to the bank. From my understanding there have been issues on proper accounting. They are unable to hand back money to customers when they don't know how much money each client actually holds. Not sure if it's the same case but I had some money in Celcius. When they finally declared bankruptcy, it took a lot time to sort things out before they were able to distribute money back to customers.

Thinking about apple card as an easy to use first credit card. Where are you where people aren't taking Apple Pay. Living in west michigan (and some northwest michigan) and traveling I've hardly ever been somewhere without tap to pay. I use it with a credit union debit card.

I just got the card to flex the metal card. I don't really use it or Apple Pay that much. Maybe as a catch all alternative sometimes but most of the time I use other cards to try and max out a 5% return on whatever I buy. As a credit card nerd optimizer I have a lot of better cards to use.

I love your videos, but I have to issue a correction. Green Dot is only for Apple Cash services, Apple's money transfer service - like Venmo. NOT Apple Savings. Apple Savings is a direct account with Goldman Sachs. If you call Goldman Sachs they will clarify this. Statements and disclosures also verify the accounts are directly with Goldman, not Green Dot. Green Dot is just Apple Cash, which... yeah, no one uses anyway.

I applied and accepted to get the apple card but because I don't have an iphone or ipad there is no way for me to use the card or even request a physical card. The ads and marketing material does not make this clear that you will need an iphone or ipad. They could have at least made it possible to request for the physical card on a webpage but they don't, you must use iphone or ipad. So now I have an account but no way to use it, great....

I’ve used the Apple Card to build up my HYS account and have really enjoyed it. Originally it was an emergency fund but it’s grown well past that. I think it can build a good habit of saving once you shift the points back into the savings account. The 0% APR on all Apple purchases is really great too.

As a Canadian, I would love this card to be in Canada most credit cards in Canada that have no annual fees offer 0.5% on all categories and maybe grocery recurring bill payments or transit what not would be 1% there are cards that offer for you 2% on groceries and one restaurant but there’s not a lot of them with no any of these the one that do you have any of these do offer free one percent on everything but they’re pretty high like $150 most of them have higher income requirements 2% on Apple Pay and Apple Pay basically everywhere including Walmart and since it’s MasterCard is accepted at Costco I would love this card and Canada and I hope it does come to Canada and if it does, I hope it has the same benefits as the state does

I'm not sure what other card issuer will let Apple bend them over a barrel like Goldman Sachs did. I also don't think Apple would outsource control over the card experience to a third party. Apple held a tight control over the user experience with the Apple card. I doubt they will outsource that to a middleman company. I also am not confident that another bank or card issuer will let Apple dictate terms like GS let them do.
