Hey Buddy! Thanks for this awesome series. I never had a C64 back in the day as a kid. I was an Amstrad kid. But I have been getting into the C64 gaming through emulation and loving it! I would have been extremely happy with a C64 back then. What a great system!!! This series is perfect for me to see what's worth checking out. Thanks again. Keep up all the great work dude!!!😁

Cheers thx , yeah i dont think most people realize i use different music simply cause some games have none or they only have a 15 second loop which is just annoying so a lot of music track swapping is needed for it to be entertaining 👍👍👍

Nice mix, including Catalypse! Perhaps one of Zzap!'s worst takes? They gave it a whopping 30% overall and then also slated the interesting (though admittedly better on Amstrad) Stryker with only 32% on the same page! 😮Grumpy bastards!

Zzaps reviews were questionable and all over the place at best , looking back in retrospect some of their reviews were total garbage , it almost felt that they were purposely looking for anything to trash any game ... So nitpicky and unnecessary

@@BastichB64K Yeah, they also overrated some games tremendously. For... reasons? 🤔Old Style Gaming recently did a video of Zzap's highest scoring games (though he admitted cocking up by excluding both Turricans and Wizball 😯) and there are some eye-rolling titles on there that are surely not as good as Pirates! 😉 Just found it odd that two rather good games (Stryker was a budget title as well) were treated so harshly on the same page and this in 1992!

@@OperationPhantom yeah there are so many weird reviews , the ones i noticed they were extra harsh on US made titles as well ... Giving Test Drive something like 40% or so was ridiculous

@@BastichB64K Yeah, a little surprised Julian Rignall didn't like it more, since that game basically combined two of his interests: video games and expensive sports cars... It shows its age now but back then it was something special.
