I used to watch your videos EVERY DAY as a young kid I was absolutely obsessed with fishing my whole life. I actually fell into drugs early on and after awhile they took everything I loved out of my life. I just stopped caring about anything fishing included. I just went for the first time in several years a few days ago and caught some absolutely lunkers. The obsession instantly came back. It’s now the day after and I’m already watching all of Brendan’s videos again😂. I know that got way too deep for the comments section but I can’t express how much this means to me that my joy of what I love came back so much that I’m watching the channel I did as a kid😂 anyways if anyone reads this thank you for getting to the end lol because I wouldn’t have

Except that the reel is mounted in the wrong place for a fly rod. It needs to be below your hand grip to counterbalance the rod and line during casting. This is important for consistently good line control accuracy & presentation, which are very essential to consistently successful fly fishing. It is the main advantage that fly fishing can have over spin fishing in the hands of a competent fly fisher. I’ll give you points for just trying though.
