i love hunting lures this time of year. Up here the lakes are all frozen, so I can go out and hit the overhanging branches. Have gotten about 40, this Winter 100s years. The ones in trees are always in better shape.

I just discovered your channel a few days ago love the content. It reminds me of when I used to live by a lake and when it was low my daughter and I would walk through the dry creek beds looking for stuff.

I am gonna definitely have to go lite hunting this Spring, or next time we have droughts here in Wisconsin. Nothing wrong with free lures! If you haven’t already look up Ed the Diver from here in Wisconsin. That guy scuba dives and finds thousands of dollars of lures in a single day. Makes me want to take up scuba diving 😆

Check Lure Hunter too! I am in WI and find a few too.

Hello brendan happy fishing 🎣 Thursday nice fishing lures I wish that the tide out here in my area out here in California was this low and clear to find fishing lures but it isn't the tide isn't never this low like on your video I do a lot of saltwater pier fishing this is why I buy inexpensive fishing lures and gear because I always be losing fishing lures in the rock's what are lures doing up on trees lol

When a wooden/balsa crankbait gets snagged on the bottom, and stays submerged for any significant amount of time, it's usually toast, the wood rots.
@logomarkz10 күн бұрын
Depends if the clearcoat has cracked.
@Rukas611610 күн бұрын
Ill let the fish decide that
@Fish-Erman10 күн бұрын
@ If the balsa rots it won't run right, if it's not rotten, and you let it dry it out for a couple weeks, and add another coat of clear, it may be salvageable. And to logemarkz, have you ever found a wood lure snagged underwater, that was not waterlogged? I have not.
@logomarkz10 күн бұрын
@@Fish-Erman I did, they probably weren't too long in the water.
@DoallDerby8 күн бұрын
Not sure if you did since it’s not included you should take all the lures you find even if you don’t keep them and discard of them properly.

Bought a hook like yours from a video that you did before (i think it was you) but id be careful pulling down limbs with it. The one i bought worked really well and served me good getting my line and flies out of trees, but it met its match after about 3 months of use trying to pull down a limb and the top 2 sections being launched about 100ft away. Never found them either. It did work good thought ill say that.
@ribo45110 күн бұрын
I bought one too after that video. Works great for retrieving decoys when the bottom is muddy enough that I don’t want to walk through it.

maybe take a big jetflame lighter to burn all the line , so it won t catch birds -- i don t think you have time and mood to take it all with you -- with fire you ll be able to work quickly
