Hi Brendon, and thanks again for your videos. This one really takes me back. I owned 8 of these albums, yes albums. I know I've said it before, but how could you leave out Thin Lizzy?!? My favorite band at the time. It makes me sad to think that if Phil had lived longer, all the music he could have made for us to love!

Nice presentation man. I will say, I think Get Your Wings should be in that list. This was the perfect representation of Raunch and Roll. SOS (Too Bad) and Lord of the Thighs are just adrenaline-pumping rock and roll. But other than that, I think you nailed it. Glad you did mention Who's Next though. My Wife makes me giggle every time I hear it.

Finally a new Top 10 episode! 🙂 I love this kind of episodes. Cool selection of albums! VH debut at the top!!! I still remember the day I heard Ain't Talkin' 'bout Love for the very first time.🤟 On my list would be some Thin Lizzy in it - Johnny the Fox ... David Bowie - Station to Station or Ziggy Stardust and maybe Springsteen - some of his best albums were in the 70's.

Hi Brendon: Your thoughtful choices are excellent! Your list is pure you. 👍. I own 7 of 11. I would have a hard time placing The Who Who's Next as an Honorable Mention. I am sure that you would surmise that. But I would also have a hard time leaving out Bad Company self-titled, Al Stewart Year of the Cat, Meatloaf Bat Out of Hell, and Bruce Springsteen Born To Run. How could I leave out David Bowie and Iggy? I could never omit late 1970s Punk and New Wave. I find this a noble but impossible task. 😊. While I love the GR80s, the 70s had so many diverse rock albums. Rock Always! - Heather

Nice list, I’d probably replace physical graffiti with LZ4, definitely would have Queen News of the World in there and I would put Machinehead higher because it influenced many of those in your list and it’s a perfect album.

All great albums for sure! But I can’t do Led Zeppelin 4. In my opinion it’s over rated by comparison to their other work which is better. But of course it’s just my opinion. I know how classic LZ4 is.

Hey great video 👍 .. you seem like you really know your music. I wonder if you or anyone reading this comment can help me identify a Rock song that I used to listen to years ago but I actually lost the cd that it was on.. It was a 70s Rock compilation CD and the song was quite about an encounter with Aliens / UFO’s and it had quite fast paced galloping riff guitar sounds. Some of the lyrics I remember were “ Couldn’t believe my eyes.. out of the night suddenly it appeared.. someone’s master plan.. And I’m almost sure there was certain parts of song where the band sang the word Aliens .. and also “ mother mother “ in a soft way.. I have searched and searched Google and nothing shows up.. I just can’t remember the rest of the lyrics, but hopefully some Rock fans will be able to help. I would really appreciate it 👍

You've made some great choices, Brendon. I would change to Sticky Fingers from the Stones, instead of Some Girls, and the Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust by David Bowie definitely needs to be in there. Hard to pick a top 10 from an era that had the best rock music of all time.

Brendon, I agree witt your list, but 1. VH, Boston, TP & The Heartbreakers, PL, Stones etc. I know you can't put them all on there, but I can't believe you forgot Meatloaf's 'Bat Out of Hell', it dominated the last 3 years of the decade! IMO, I would have swapped that one out with AC/DC's 'Highway to Hell'.

Hi Brendon, while I did enjoy your choice of top ten albums of the 70's, I felt it was based heavily on US sales, which I understand as you are in the states, but there have been some massive albums that are missed from the UK perspective. Albums like Thin Lizzy - Live & Dangerous, which was only held off the number 1 spot by the Grease soundtrack. Also Queen - A night at the opera, also seen now as a classic rock album. Oh and what about Fleetwood Mac - Rumours? And Americas own Meat Loaf - Bat out of hell? And Status Quo - Hello. Rainbow - Rising. Deep Purple - In Rock. All these awesome albums need adding to your list or to be concidered mate. Just saying.

There are a few albums that need to be on a list, not necessrily this list; RUSH for one. Fleetwood Mac Rumours, and a host of albums from that genre could be added. The Police Outlandos D'Amour, the post-punk band that became the biggest band since the Beatles and helped not just punk, and new wave, but rock. Never Mind the Bollocks...The Sex Pistols revolutionized pop, rock, the music industry was put on its ass, as was England.

Nice list Brendan and I note there is some cultural differences to your favourites. VH, Arrosmith & Tom Petty wouldn't make most people's top 10 in the UK or Europe I dont think. I always struggle to appreciate VH1 as a rock classic other than Eddie's ground breaking tour. Apart from the three sings you mentioned I think it comparably weak and DLR dosnt really have the pipes. He was really a showboat with lots of charisma. Anyway it's all subjective Brendan and here's mine.
