I used to go there regularly in the 90's. It still looks exactly the same, except when I first discovered it, there was room for the original owners' toy collection to be displayed. I did find a lot of out of print CDs there, and I'll bet there are still some longboxes down by the floor from back in the day. That Bob Welch Wounded Bird CD is out of print!

I’m pleasantly surprised to see they’re still there as of 2022. You couldn’t really tell from anything shown that this is 2022, though (says a lot about today’s pop/rock market). I’ll admit I had just assumed they were put of of business along with the chains like Tower. The layout of the place hasn’t changed well over 30 years later. I spent plenty of time browsing there throughout the 90s, and built up a lot of my library from them. Best place I knew for imports and lesser known artists. It looks like they did away with the plastic cases the used to put CDs in. You would usually wind up getting a few finger jabs from the staples each visit.

Such a great shop -- and a double shot of Cheap Trick! Robin's solo album (really good). And 'Standing On The Edge' (1985) which most people have probably never heard. I have a signed copy of that album, because CT did a record store event. On the back of SOTE, they misspelled Rick's name (Nelsen vs. Nielsen). Lastly, that Riggs album is definitely worth checking out. They have 2 excellent songs on the 'Heavy Metal' soundtrack. Wounded Bird CD version of their album is OOP and BIG $$$. Thx, Brendon!

Hey Brendon, looks like a killer store and within driving distance. Will check it out. Do they have a prog or psych section? One critique... when you pull the cds out, there is a little bit too much motion (motion sickness inducing)... maybe keep the camera back a bit and steady instead of following it so close up?

I have a Sound Exchange near me (in Florida) but it has nowhere near the selection yours has. I am stunned by the amount of killer imports (Japanese releases, BGO, Rock Candy, etc...) and hard to find stuff they have. How they have so many Wounded Bird CDs is simply astonishing to me as I almost never see those anymore, new or used. My only (minor) complaint is that you somehow always skip over the Jimi Hendrix section, but maybe he's not your cup of tea? Would love to see what Sound Exchange has for his CDs.
