Thanks so much for this video. I love hockey but I struggle with understanding lines and shifts and how it all works...

so i don't get it...a player is only on ice for ~ 50 seconds before he goes to the bench?? every minute lines are changed?? I can't even tell any players.....i thought a link would be like 6 minutes 6minutes 5 minutes 3 minutes

zxccxz164 the shifts are so short bc it’s a very tiring game

Good video but hard working smart players make the coaches look good . What has Crawford done since the Avs

It's so freaking weird . How is 40-50seconds long enough to even really be productive? Seems like by the time your finally back on the ice and in the play , your just about done with your shift ..Lol Almost feels like your energy is exerted more by changing then actually playing . I'm in awe at how short a stint on the ice is.

Shit I have my first hockey training after a few days, I have no idea how I'll be able not to completely humiliate myself in front of guys who know this shit and been doing it for years.

How are you now?
@rayhoodoo8473 жыл бұрын
@@aidenmatondo I was too tired to think about anything else lol. We were only like 12 people, there was 1 on the bench for each team, had no time to rest. But it was very fun!

This doesnt seem that effective. so you're basicly playing 40 seconds and then you sit and get cold, and then you go out again after two minutes...these guys are supposed to be top tier athletes. Thought they played like 5 minutes each set.
@BrentClarkDrums6 жыл бұрын
You've obviously never played the sport. A 5 minute shift would absolutely kill these guys. You need to stay fresh at all costs.
