Is it just me?? Or is he a different BV compared to the last several press conference? He told jokes and laughed alot. But This BV seems like a very focused Head coach that's about to take college football by storm. It's like he turns on a switch when it's closer to football season. I love it!!! I can't wait to see this team play

To have a talented team is only part of the equation for success. Discipline, mental and physical toughness, leadership at key positions, and great coaching have to be included to truly be a great team. OU will be among the elites this year because Venables understands this, and will demand it from his players and staff. I can see why Venables was so highly sought, and could’ve had most any open head coaching job. He waited for the right one, and he will make Sooner fans very happy. OU has always been talented and was a very dangerous team. They lacked discipline and toughness in recent years. Those two things will change right from the get go.

I dunno guys, I don't think he's tired, I think he's clearly got his focus on. We're not always going to get jovial, joking BV especially around the season. Everyone outside of Oklahoma is doubting what this team could potentially do so that has to be weighing on him somewhat. Plus, he's already an intense guy as it is and he's probably just flipped the "season switch" so to speak and now it's go time and for him to really live up to the expectations that's been placed on him and his staff. Or, maybe he just didn't sleep well the night before. 😆

The excitement is back in Norman this season with Coach Brent Venables and the coaching staff he has brought in this season... As Sooners fans, let's be patient as this is Year 1 where the players and the coaches are working to build chemistry in practices and games... I will be happy with a 10 win season in Year 1... I feel that next year and the following years to come is when we hopefully will win a National Championship... I do recognize that we will be going to the SEC in 2025...

COACH has alot of weight on his shoulders and there are many people that live in his shadow that are motivated by his energy but coach really took on a monster of a situation when he was hired with having to rebuild the confidence of a program that just got shafted by the former head coach and young men that were confused and didnt know what to do at that time PLUS having to live up to Oklahoma standards PLUS getting prepaired to move to the mighty SEC, COACHS HANDS ARE FULL! when you run on high energy like coach people ALWAYS expect you to keep that energy and when you dont they think something is wrong.

We’ve always been an offensive juggernaut! I’ve bought in because I know the kind of defense BV runs and that’s gonna be the biggest test of how this team is going to play this season. We need to have a defense that plays bully ball. We need to be able to punch the offense in the mouth and have them thank us for not breaking their noses.
