RIP Skip, I met Tony as a 11 year old at an awards ceremony for my junior football club in Stretford and he was such a kind man and generous with myself and my family. IMO he was one of those who made City a genuine family club and he will be missed. Very unlucky not to win a League Championship in ‘77 losing out to Liverpool. Ian, you got me with the line about Uwe’s kids being named Colin and Tony. 😢

RIP Tony Book, thoughts and prayers with his family, City legend, lovely fella. I don't care about the match. Great vlog Cheesy 👍💙

Lovely VLOG Ian. Thank you. I felt it was a shame that peculiar substitutions and some exceptionally lackadaisical defending soured what otherwise was a good performance.

Very fond memories from Skip, like a lot of older fans City v Leicester in 69 in our superb red n black striped shirts was my first cup final aged 9. When they lofted him up for Tony to sit on shoulders of I think George Heslop or Tommy Booth the smile, pride amazing unforgettable

Hi Iain. Excellent vlog again. Personally, I was happy to get a draw but disappointed about giving up a two goal lead. Always thought this would be a tough fixture. Main news today of course is about Tony Book - a great man. I met him a couple of times - what a star!

Great Vlog Ian. RIP Tony Book. Uwe Rosler is pure class - loved hearing from him. City are nearly back and Stones and Dias fit we would have won that. It's great to be a blue. Thoughts with Tony Book's family. 💙💙💙

RIP Tony Book, what a Captain, a real Captain, a great full back and untouchable as an incredible servant to our Manchester City. Around 50 to 60 years as player, manager and ambassador if I'm not mistaken, WOW! Certainly since 1966 anyway. As for the match I thought we looked better. The issues is defence when up against the fast break and especially with a well drilled and hard working team like Brentford. Thomas Frank is doing a great job. On to the next one. Thanks Ian and all the fans singing on behalf of Skip. 💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍💙🤍

The moment he took Kovacic off and put Gundo on the game changed. Kovacic was great tonight and pressed and harried Brentford and we lost that when Gundo came on.

Some game, Brentford are a great side, fair play to them. I thought we played really well but we are still too easy to hit on the break. Can't fault the performance. RIP Tony Book

RIP Tony. I met him once at the services on the way to Wembley in 2011 for the FA Cup Semi final against United. Such a lovely man and full of optimism. He even posed for a photo with me.

Brentford had the better xg so don't see how these fans are saying city dominated. 21 shots from city 18 from brentford. Fair point tbh

Good game of football overall but 2-0 up with 10mins to go just manage it out , don’t go all out for another goal , lock it up and win the game

Good all round performance but shame we made 2 silly mistakes. Sorry to say but Gundo brings nothing to the table anymore but would like to see him as assistant manager next year. KDB back to his best and never stopped running. RIP Tony and condolences to his family. He was a legend.

Despite the disappointing result, it's the best we've played in several games. Thankfully, we have some defenders incoming and getting healthy. We desperately need a defensive midfielder. Why not Douglas Luiz? Onwards and upwards

Brilliant vlog as ever Ian, just catching up now I'm layed up with norovirus 😢 Was very sad to hear about Tony Book (skip) I have a ticket some where from the last ever game at Maine Road signed by Tony. May he RIP legend 💙 The result 2 points dropped gutted but I'm not going to criticise Pep and the team after what they've achieved over the past 7 seasons, I'm just keeping calm and carrying on backing them. Win, lose, draw as ever it's great to be a Blue 💙

Great Vlog Ian and tremendous tribute to Tony Book 😢🩵 A brilliant game throughout and lots of positives tonight …… unfortunately we bailed again at the 80 minute mark …. Not clinical enough up front ….. and not sure if Pep got the subs right tonight 😅 fans were absolute on it from start to finish 👊👊👊 a point is ok and onto Ipswich ….. looking forward to my next trip over next week and to see 4 games …. Greetings from Germany CTID 🩵

If Akanji had any vocal aggression in him, we could have won this. Lacking strong leadership in centre half position.

How many more times are we going to crumble in the last 10 minutes of games feyenoord, utd and again tonight would of taken a point before the game but this is 2 points thrown away in a fight for a top four place so annoying

Played some good stuff, but still the same worrying issues in midfield and at the back. To be fair Ian, Brentford deserved something out of the game, but it’s hugely disappointing again to concede those points when in a strong winning position with 8 minutes left. Great tribute to the legend that is Tony Book. RIP Skip.
