Railfanning Santa Clara - 3/18/19

Santa Clara sure is a fun place to film trains! I like it there because there are three different kinds of Commuter Trains (Technically two, I know Amtrak California isn't really one) running there at once! And always keep your eyes out for any of their rare equipment to show up, like Caltrain's SUPER unique Cab Cars 119 and 120, the Dash-8s, and of course Amtrak California's near-fabled "Mount Soledad" Cab Car!

Superbaddy4 Thanks for the info ! I did indeed happen to catch Caltrain CabCar #120, although it was unfortunately trailing on train #324. Hopefully I’ll catch it leading someday, haha.

When I was in the Peninsula area at the end of last year, I saw 120 too! But of course, it was mid-consist! 119 is currently on point, though! But I didn't get to see it...
