"Breonna Taylor had high hopes for 2020. On March 12th, she had dinner out with her long-time boyfriend before they returned to her Louisville apartment. She fell asleep in front of the TV. Just after midnight, everything changed. Amid mounting pressure to prosecute the officers who opened fire that March night, a visual investigation by NBC News pulls together the evidence to reveal what we know - and what we don't - about how a botched police raid left Breonna Taylor dead, her partner accused of attempted murder of a police officer and America up in arms."

The voice you give to the officer as the 'narrator' gives his evidence more weight that the boyfriends. In the initial police report police stated no one was injured and yet Breonna was shot eight times and given no emergency assist even after the police make sure they were not in imminent risk. There is a lot of missing truth here, I don't think this killing was reasonable.

The police work in this case was sloppy, and the warrant service was reckless. Taylor is dead because of a cascade of errors, bad judgment and dereliction of duty.Taylor was a “soft target”..not a threat, and not a major player in the drug investigation. But here is the problem i have. If Taylor was a “soft target,” why not surround the house, get on a megaphone, and ask her to come out with her hands up? Why still take down her door with a battering ram? Why still serve the warrant in the middle of the night? 11 of her neighbors said they did not hear a announcement and i understand they had a no knock warrent but banging on a door for 30 seconds in the middle of the night...what did they expect what was going to happen. Im all for warrents and getting criminals off the street. Taylor helped saved lives and she deserves justice. Want to know why i said this was sloppy? Kennoth Walker (the shooter) was not a criminal or a drug dealer. He had a clean record and most people that are defending the police keep trying to fact check when in fact walker was not a criminal first of all... Second he had a gun permit for the gun. Criminals can't have gun permits. It mind blows me people are defending against a innocent man. Why did police drop charges against the shooter and give the family 12million? They knew they were in the wrong and people still try to defend them. And since no one will say it i will...People won't defend walker simply because he is a black man.The black community is devistated and it seems the other half simply don't care. (Which is nothing new) not only does she deserve justice but so does walker.

You left off the part where the defenders of the officers who killed Breona tried to get Breona's ex boyfriend to say Breona helped with his drugs. If he did they would let him go. He refused and said she had nothing to do with the drugs. Wouldn't that be an important part to mention in this report?

"the defenders of the officers who killed Breona tried to get Breona's ex boyfriend to say Breona helped with his drugs. If he did they would let him go." Okay; the above is a prime example of the commenters here absolutely NOT knowing what they're talking about *** LET'S GET THIS STRAIGHT - Part One *** Plea deals are offered ALL of the time. This is to save the court time and resources that come with prosecuting a case straight through to a full-blown jury trial. Sometimes a plea deal is also offered because the defendant has little to no criminal history. Again; in criminal proceedings, plea deals are all-day, every day occurrences. In July, the state of Kentucky proposed a very generous pre-indictment plea package to convicted drug-felon Jamarcus Glover: Again, this sort of thing is quite ordinary. In the boilerplate (ordinary language within a legal document), the document laid out the names of all of his documented co-conspirators, with the name of Breonna Taylor among a long list of Glover's accomplices; this addition was pointed out to be in error, and was removed. *** THE LIE *** The lie was that this offer was based solely on, and hinged upon Glover naming Taylor. Wrong. Glover had to allocute (admit to certain, specific criminal scenarios) and plead guilty to TWENTY-TWO criminal counts. *** THE LIE *** (2) The second lie is that if Glover named Taylor as a co-defendant, that Glover would've been "let go". Wrong. If Glover had accepted the plea deal, Glover would have had to serve TEN YEARS in prison, with no parole. Remember, Glover had 22 drug, and firearms counts against him, and had he been found guilty at trial, as a previously-convicted drug felon, could've easily faced 20-30 years. *** THE LIE *** (3) Popular sentiment embraces the silly notion that somehow the now-honorable felon, Jamarcus Glover refused to sign off on the agreement because he emphatically believed that Taylor was somehow innocent (truth, and evidence be damned), and of course, the media, and the 'hood RAN with that. Nope; the amended agreement was re-offered to Glover, but he was so righteous, that he didn't bother returning to court, thereby skipping out on his new, increased, $50K bail set as a result of his 4/22 arrest, at the 2424 Elliot Avenue trap, where he was found with a quantity of drugs for sale, and illegal firearms (this new arrest occurred while he was out on bail for his infamous 3/13 search warrant arrest at the 2424 Elliot Avenue trap, where he was found with a quantity of drugs for sale, and illegal firearms). So, because of THAT, the state of Kentucky took the deal off of the table, because Glover had become a fugitive.

@@nycsongman9758 ... Imagine that, a person with intelligence and common sense on KZbin. I see it so scarcely, that I'm surprised when I do. In any case, not only do I (obviously) agree with what you're saying, but just want to add that in the American Criminal "Justice" system, there are actually more plea deals than people going to trial. Not only are plea deals an every day thing, they are basically the standard. Whether in criminal court or traffic court, almost everyone is offered (and takes) a plea deal. Speaking as an expert on this topic (The criminal justice system and the ghetto) I can reassure you that the people supporting Breonna Taylor here know better - they know they're covering for a criminal that died as a result of her own bad decisions - they just don't care. They prefer to live in ignorance; hate, violence and ignorance are what the 'hood is all about. It's not just a place for poor people - it's a magical place, where things are turned upside down (from the perspective of a normal, well-adjusted, hard working, tax-paying citizen).

Walker's charges weren't dropped because of a "national outcry". His charges were dropped because he's in a Stand Your Ground state, in which the Castle Doctrine is in full effect. If the police did everything as they said they did, the attempted murder charge would be air tight. But if they rushed the house unannounced, and Walker didn't know what was happening, it would be very hard to prove that he tried to murder a cop, instead of fearing for his OWN life, and defending him and Breonna from a threat.

Since May, I've been studying this case, and taking the temperature of these YT comments, and I'm surprised, but not shocked, at the number of commenters that merely shrug off the reality that Taylor was apparently running back and forth between these two men, at least one of whom (Glover) was associated with a notorious, and hella-dangerous drug trafficking operation. Reading between the lines of these comments, these folk definitely condoned this reality, if not even admired Taylor, for "handling her business". Sad.

Who are you speaking about when you say Jesus Christ??? Outside the BIBLE There is no historical proof that Jesus Christ existed. The Flavians invented the name of Jesus Christ and wrote the gospels. They done this because they were at war with the Jews at the time and they new that the Jews was looking for a leader that was supposed to come and lead them. So the Roman emperors gave them a peaceful messiah that would OBEY the ROMANS. The only SON the MOST HIGH ever had was and is, is israel. Exodus 4:22-23. The Flavians even documented that they invented Jesus Christ and the GOSPEL. Go check out Cesar MESSIAH on KZbin. He goes into great detail about The Flavians and the gospels. I use to believe in the gospels at 1 time in my life until the MOST HIGH delivered me from this book of LIES the "NEW TESTAMENT" there is no power in the name of Jesus or Yahusha Yeshua or whatever name you give this person in the new testament. The new testament is brainwashing.

Breonna Taylor was NOT shot while sleeping in her bed, she was awake, in her hallway. She was NOT an EMT at the time of her death; she was forced to quit YEARS ago, because a dead body was found in a car rented under her name; the victim was an "associate" of her drug dealing boyfriend. Even though a "no-knock" warrant WAS issued, the officers DID knock. Her neighbors testified under oath, that the police announced themselves BEFORE trying to enter her apartment. Her boyfriend shot a cop, BEFORE police fired their first round. She was STILL aiding and abetting her previous boyfriend's drug dealing operation; she and her car were surveilled delivering drugs to his "trap house" on numerous occasions. She was STILL stashing his drug money at her house. Her address was on record as being his current address on bank records. Her ex-boyfriend blamed her at-the-time boyfriend for her death, NOT the police. For the uneducated and willfully ignorant: It was NOT the DA who determined the police officers should not be indicted, it was a GRAND JURY, the most impartial of all arbiters. Her address and vehicle WERE on the warrant. The Left and media HAVE been lying to you! It's unfortunate that she was shot and died, but the police did NOTHING wrong. If people want to BLM(Burn, Loot, Murder) over the grand jury's decision, apply the law to THEM. Breonna was involved with, and profiting from drug trafficking. Blame her, her boyfriend or her ex-boyfriend for her death, NOT the police.

The "soft-target" designation means that Taylor wasn't suspected of stockpiling firearms, or bombs; wasn't thought to be armed or dangerous, and that known illegal-firearms possessing folk like Jamarcus Glover weren't living there. Still, even as a soft-target, that doesn't mean that the LMPD would deviate from its standard, no-knock protocol of serving the warrant at a time when the targeted occupant would presumably be unaware, nor did that mean that the LMPD would not use the battering-ram if needed.
@CasualMobileGamer
@CasualMobileGamer 3 жыл бұрын
@@nycsongman9758 The officer was describing it as if they were just going to knock on the door calmly and wait for it to be opened. It's weird to wait until after midnight when the occupants may be knocked out sleeping. It's one thing to go for surprise, but surprise could have been during waking hours too. I think the soft target thing is damage control because the actions don't match up. The 911 callers didn't hear people shouting "police", see lights, or anything that would indicate police were on scene already; so they likely didn't announce themselves and proceeded to gain entry for a fast and furious arrest.
@nycsongman9758
@nycsongman9758 3 жыл бұрын
@@CasualMobileGamer "The 911 callers didn't hear people shouting "police", see lights, or anything that would indicate police were on scene already" NONE of those purported "11" witnesses actually said that they observed the LMPD NOT verbally-announcing themselves; what was said is that THEY, personally didn't hear an announcement, and/ or that they were awakened by the battering-ram/ gunshot. Big difference. None of the witnesses actually said "yes, I was awake when the LMPD first approached the door, and I listened, and I DID NOT hear the LMPD verbally-announce themselves". None. The 911 calls, I say again, are proof OF NOTHING.
@CasualMobileGamer
@CasualMobileGamer 3 жыл бұрын
@@nycsongman9758 By their own admission it took the officers a few times with the battering ram to bust the door down. This is after the supposed knocking. If the officers were also shouting "police" I'd expect at least one witness to have heard by that time and that info would be reflected on the 911 recordings. It doesn't bode for the officers that all the witnesses so far, from what they were hearing and seeing, seemed to think it was some gang activity or something. This doesn't support the account of the police being forthcoming with their identity... enough for someone woken out of sleep to think they're anything but home invaders. This is circumstantial evidence in favor of the bf's account.

@WorldWithoutHate=PeaceOnEarth She was an ERT. University of Louisville Health said Taylor was an emergency room technician at UofL Health-Medical Center East at the time of her death. Attorneys for Taylor's estate said she was also working at another hospital as an ER technician and had plans to become a nurse. Taylor's family said she was an EMT for Louisville Metro before becoming an ER technician. UofL Health's Board of Directors announced a nursing scholarship in Taylor's name. The Breonna Taylor Memorial Scholarship Fund in Nursing will be a four-year renewable away covering full tuition and fees. www.whas11.com/article/news/local/uofl-health-nursing-scholarship-breonna-taylor/417-2c4f9b55-2851-4080-b8bb-6df8a107d0a1 You should investigate the information found in that "anonymous" Tatum Report leaked by the police. You will find many inaccuracies. The USPS attested that the deliveries (in January) to her apartment were legit, no suspicious activity. The warrant was based on lies (perjury). No warrant = no death. The boyfriend had a registered/licensed gun. He used it to protect himself when plainclothes police entered her apartment with a ram. They live in a Stand your Ground Area. The neighbors did not hear the police identify themselves and called 911 requesting police assistance, listen to their calls. The front doors of the apartments are no more than 3 feet apart. They should have heard something. Search for the ballistic pictures. The boyfriend also called 911. Listen to his call. Search the Internet for the source material of that report and you will be scandalized. See the NY Times report on Hulu, with neighbor interviews. Lookup reports of police officer presence in a bar before the shooting. Note he disappeared after the incident for 2 hours. Listen to the Grand Jury record of the effort to indict the boyfriend and remember the information distributed to the public. I listed each item and investigated every allegation. The report is deliberately slanted. No one settles a case for the largest amount of money ever, in a case against the police without cause. Anyone can type a report and make it look official.

Furthermore, It was also stated that there was a suspicion that she was receiving drug packages to her appartment via mail. However the U.S Postal Inspector confirmed that was also false. No knock warrants should only be used if there is 100 undeniable evidence. However in this investigation, they constantly use "Possible" and "We believe". If the police shot first, then that'd be a totally different matter, and that would probably be manslaughter. BUT the boyfriend shot first. The police were justified in trying to protect themselves.

With one phone call to the landlord they would have known exactly who lived in that apartment and subsequently known their background history. They would not and/or should not have exerted that excessive force on a first time offender in their own home, no matter whom they were acquainted with. This was gross negligence that resulted in the loss of a life and we honestly can’t put a price on life lost. Even in death, she deserves justice and those officers should be accordingly held accountable for their negligence. In future, police should be trained to avoid such situations. Fix the problem at the roots. Do psychological evaluations to also root out trigger happy officers. Fix a broken system, these deaths should not be in vain.

If you were not heard announcing yourself by the residents of the home...THEN YOU DID NOT ANNOUNCE YOURSELF.. The police did obtain a no-knock warrant.. Now that can not be disputed. The police did bust in the door with a battering ram. They admitted to this. So from the perspective of the occupants in the home, the police bust in the door unannounced. Walker then did what he had the legal right to do...OPEN FIRE ON AN INTRUDER. That is why he is free today and was hailed as a hero by a city official. So at the end of the day; no matter how you slice it the police handled the whole thing wrong and they are the reason why Taylor is dead. They need to be charged.

@@rromero9763 Right; Walker knew that Taylor was involved, and he panicked. The old-pro, convicted felons at the trap house knew the drill, knew the search warrant game, so even though they were caught, red-handed-dirty, they complied with the LMPD, and as a result, they get to live and breathe; they got bailed out, and a subsequent search warrant (served on the trap house on 4/22) proved that the trap was back up and running, filled with drugs and firearms; open for business. All because the revolutionaries, "Chap" Glover, and his boys at the "candy shop" complied with the commands of the LMPD back on 3/13.

@@Tiffthefashionista unjustified shootings should get justice!! But if the police are shot at 1st, what are they supposed to do? Run away and come back another day? I know there are things none of us will ever know the truth about but I have a hard time believing the cops just started shooting just cuz they felt like killing a person that night. Something happened in this case that made them shoot. Plus I'm quite sure the settlement was reached so more cities don't get burned down in her name. I've also heard anyone shot by police gets a settlement. There are inconsistencies in the story.. but we aren't talking about an innocent person here. She was around criminals & maybe one herself (drug money is a crime too).. she dated a man that left a dead body in her rental car. Then dated another criminal that got her shot. He shot 1st & I almost feel like he used her as a shield since he wasn't shot at all. Sadly she was playing with fire & unfortunately it cost her her life. It's sad no matter what the truth is. No one should die like that, criminal or not. But every action has a reaction and her boyfriend actions led to her being shot. Why is no one holding him accountable for his actions and only the police? I'm pretty sure everyone knows from a young age of you shoot at police they'll shoot back. So why is no one going after the boyfriend demanding answers & justice also?
