@@jaycuthbert245 it's subjective based on what you want out of a wrestler. No point arguing about it, some love seeing hogan hulk up, some don't, some like the people's elbow or the rock talking jive. some just want a story told in the ring and for many of them, me included, Bret is the best. But that don't mean he is of course, or that people who disagree are wrong. It's just not worth arguing imo.

Yes and he's always been very genuine. I've met him twice in my life and he's very forthright and sincere. Maybe his style isn't everybody's cup of tea as some people might have thought he took himself too seriously or didn't laugh and joke around as some of the other guys in the industry but that's just how he was and it was all well and good. Bret was a man who was all about respect. He truly was The Best There Is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be!!

No way Dynamite Kid!! Brett thinks he's way bigger than what he is. Don't get me wrong I don't hate Brett. I do like him. He's a hard person not to like. But his ego is bigger than he is. Mr. Perfect was definitely better than him. Has the physical edge and buries him. In promos. Brett never learned how to cut of decent promo.

Never appreciated how tough in reality Bret Hart actually was. He said it himself. This is where his toughness was created, in the school yard then bouncing at 16. Being an accomplished amateur wrestler and obviously having Stu Hart for a Father. No wonder he knocked out McMahon and beat up Michaels.

No mention of Bret, but I found the article in the Calgary Herald describing the fire and naming the victims. Bret's old house is 1006 18 ave S.E., Calgary, and the house fire happened on Sunday April 26, 1981. The Herald article reads as follows: "Fire Victims Identified Clarence Robert Fraser, 33, and Eileen Rose Peigan, 38, have been identified as the two people who died in the southeast Calgary house fire Sunday. The two died when they were trapped while trying to flee from their 1019 18th Ave. S.E. basement suite after a fire broke out in a couch. A third man escaped uninjured when he fled through a read door, but police say the victims tried to escape through a side entrance that was blocked by a second couch and didn't make it."

Funny cus nobody talks about that. Bret told Vince twice. When Steve was at WCW he was like "When his contract is up make sure to bring him in Vince"... Nope Vince wasn't paying attention.. So Steve went to ECW and was tearing up the wrestling scene. Bret watches alot of different Wrestling Promotions, and noticed Steve was WHITE HOT in ECW and thought what? I told Vince to not let him slip.. he went to Vince like "Vince, I told you get this guy. He's the next best top guy. You let him slip to ECW and he's tearin the roof off that joint".. Vince barley repiled but finally paid attention to Steve's work and thought "Shit Bret is right. This guy is franchise right here". Week later Austin was in the WWE as ... lol the Ring Master..

@@ferox965 Fun fact: Bret and The Rock wrestled on Raw and the original plan was for Bret to beat The Rock clean with the sharpshooter. However, Bret really like The Rock and didn't want to beat him clean, so the finish was changed to a DQ. HBK and HHH were reportedly furious with that decision because they saw The Rock as competition and wanted to stop his momentum early.

Still my all-time favourite wrestler and why I'm proud to be a native/lifelong Calgarian. Bret's old house is at 1006 18 avenue S.E., Calgary, and you can see on Google Streetview what it looked like pre-renovation in the 2012 and 2009 captures (it looked like a barn with awful wood paneling). The 2014-2023 captures all show the house as it appears in this segment. Found a Calgary Herald article on this house fire, mentioning the two victims (a 33 year old man and a 38 year old woman) and how it started on a couch in the basement, with another man escaping uninjured from the basement. The fire occurred on Sunday April 26, 1981 at 1019 18 avenue S.E.
