Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart (Hart Foundation) discuss the time Bret slapped Haku during one of their tag matches without warning. Stream New Shoot Interviews 📺 TitleMatchNetwo...
RIP to the Anvil. Here the Hart Foundation talk about the great Haku (aka King Tonga, King Haku, Meng). There was one tag match featuring the Hart Foundation and the Islanders where Bret slapped Haku in the corner without telling him first. Haku was not pleased!
Also hear about the dream tag matches that never happened and how they wished they could have worked with certain teams more often. Names like Midnight Express, Road Warriors, The Funk Brothers are all brought up here.
Yes the audio on this video is bad. We licensed this footage and the original production crew did not mic the talent unfortunately. This is the best version available.

You have to remember that wrestlers are carnies. While there's no doubt that Haku was an extremely tough man, he was not a trained fighter. You really think for one second that Haku could take on Brock Lesnar? Or heck, we don't even have to go to Brock Lesnar, pick ANY pro-fighter, and they'd fold Haku up like lawn furniture, no matter how "tough" he was. Kurt Angle would turn him inside out, too. Wrestlers are carnies, and whatever stories they tell are almost always going to be either made up or exaggerated. The suggestion that Haku could take on a real fighter is honestly kind of laughable.
@dwade6322

@@seraphinaaizen6278 Whats laughable is you seem to think that all wrestlers must be a Millennial. Most of these guys from the 80's/90's were not video game playing acrobats such as today. When i see a literally 50 diff legends of wrestling say how tough Haku was an is,why would i ever think differently after 30 years? You dont know anymore about him than i do. All i said was i believe Haku would stand his ground against pretty much anyone in a street fight. The guy was a Sumo wrestler in his youth. I guess you dont believe ANDRE drank over a 100 beers at one party either? Lol. Whatev🙄

Haku?! King Tonga? Six one. Three hundred pounds. Kingdom of Tonga. Unbelievable. Also, Doink beat Bret at a house show. The Nasty Boys were shooters, and would readily shoot on the enhancements. Mr. Fuji was an accomplished sushi chef, and would make sushi for the BSK. Dean Malenko stared down The Giant in a backstage altercation. Yes sir. Yes, he did. Double J went to Chuck about taking a Sweet Chin music at SS94. They’d practice for hours, and even danced around to With My Baby Tonight. Lex stiffed Broady in the cage in Florida. THAT’S why Bruiser no sold him, and THAT’S why Lawrence ran out. Yes sir. Yes indeed. Crush’s heel turn WAS best for business, looking back. Vince ribbed Anvil with the WHO gimmick. High Energy were supposed to have a run with the team belts, but it got nixed. Steve Borden nixed the WCW push of Raven. Sting overheard Scotty bad mouthing his promo skills and went straight to Bischoff, nixing Scottys big push. Aurelian Smith Jr caught a jobber dancing around to his theme backstage and went straight to Vince, citing disrespect on the jobbers part. That jobber had to explain and apologise to Jake. Warrior, who was hiding in a locker, over heard the whole thing and some believe THIS is why he had beef with Aurelian. Yes, it was. Sting never took to Vampiro despite the two men having feud of the year. Funny ain’t it? The Bosman/Nailz feud WAS a classic looking back. Their cage matches on house shows were classics. Shamrock and Blackman nearly had a shoot. The LOD vs The powers was the classic. Shango and ‘take we’re supposed to have a ‘Master of Magic’ feud. Vince nixed it and Mark Carraway wasn’t pleased.

Well thats a matter of debate isn't it? BJ Penn got knocked out by a random drunk. Its even on video. And don't give me oh Penn was drunk. Yes he was and so was the guy who knocked him out. So they were on equal terms. Thats the problem right there. You go in with an attitude that you're somehow unbeatable and untouchable you'll soon find out you're not. Even if you happen to be a pro fighter. Its not magic powers. Knowing how to fight will automatically put you at an advantage for sure but you best believe you can be hit.
