It's often said that Bret took himself too seriously, but I personally admire that he valued the tag, IC and World titles as much as he did. It's nice to see someone treat the belts with prestige, someone who believes they mean something and should be carried with pride.

In fact, I'm sure that his work influence every generations of wrestlers that come next to his's and that he was way, I mean WAY ahead of his time. Think about character's work and in-ring work of Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Roman Reigns, The Rock, Steve Austin, Jon Moxley, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, HHH, CM Punk, Kurt Angle, Gunther, Jay White, Cody Rhodes, Adam Cole, Kenny Omega and so on. As per usual with Bret you get an honest and straightforward answer on everything. He gives props to both Austin and Michaels and even admits that Shawn is probably the better athlete. I completely agree with Bret that as a wrestler Shawn cant really hold a candle to Bret's in ring ability. I think Jim Cornette said it best when comparing the 2 of them, he said Bret has had the better matches while Shawn has had the better performances. IMO it's Bret that can have a 5* match with anyone whereas Shawn cant boast that same claim. I also believe Shawn has had more chances or oppurtunities to have those "performances" than Bret was given.
