TJ: NFL Overtime rule idea? How about a field goal shoot out like soccer or hockey. Moving back after each make. Greg Zuerlein of cowboys would agree. Making the FOOT of football more relevant.

How about you just win the game in regulation? Either your offense didn't get it done, or your defence didn't get it done, so if you lose in overtime, it's your fault.

@@calibrazxr750 that was part of my thoughts as well. Since the offense nor the defense won the game. Giving the special teams the ability to play a more focal role.

@@j-boy9256 it certainly highlights the need to have good special teams and brings all parts of the team into equal importance. I just can't understand why people get upset when a team loses in overtime. "You had 60 minutes of regulation to win the game and you didn't do it. Next time, try and win it before the final gun".

@@calibrazxr750 agreed I never got upset with the rule as is. But if they have to change it I think a final shoot out would be interesting. Soccer and hockey use a similar system. What the NFL is proposing is giving both teams an offensive series no matter what the first team scores. That just seems to be stretched out a shoot out solves both.
