Same here man he gets such a bad rep nowadays for being whiney and burying people and holding grudges. But I feel like he had every reason to be sour. Some things in life can be so personal to somebody that no matter what they just never fully get over it (The whole screwjob debacle ofcourse.) And people may find that immature or whatever.. But I always felt Bret was right. And him 'burying' other wrestlers never seemed to be out of sheer spite, it's Bret (As arguably, stressing ARGUABLY) being the best to have ever done it, giving his honest opinion on his perspective of other wrestlers.

I cried when I found out. He was beautiful . He was my Superman. From 86-89 I was a 9-12 year old girl obsessed with him. He was in his own league. A brilliant shining light. He was the hottest man on the planet in 1988 I swear to God. I was 11 then. I was mesmerized by him every time I saw him on TV.

When I was a kid in the early 90s, when Mach was WWF champ for the last time, and Bret was intercontinental champ, and they teamed up together that was a dream come true. My two favorite wrestlers finally teaming up. Rest in peace, Randy. Gone but not forgotten.

Eufuzella Knowing how Bret is, honestly if he had a problem or issue with the guy asking him to say a few words about Randy he would had said so. Bret has never been a person to hold back his feelings or opinions. I'm sure the guy had Bret's blessing. He was just still trying to process it.

Hart was the man. I wasn't a big fan when he was a babyface but I was still a fan of the guy. I loved him as a heel. The whole Canada vs us was great. The WWf would have been so much better had hart stayed in the WWf during the attitude era. Foley, stone cold and the rock were the attitude era and a heel Bret hart during that time could have been better than what we got out of that era.

What a shame that Randy Savage was never brought back to the WWF. Imagine if when Hall, Nash, & Hogan returned in 2002 if Savage returned with them. Would've been so nice to see him get one final big run.

...actually if I recall correctly Bret spoke quite highly of Randy in his book, years before Randy's death. So I don't know what makes you think he didn't respect the guy. MOST of the wrestlers respected the hell out of Randy, in point of fact.

Good point. Many people have no education about strokes... My grandpa had several strokes and survived for 12 more years.. After the strokes he could only make grunting sounds.. I had to learn to speak to him all over again through hand signals and writing on paper.

Randy Savage was my favorite wrestler of all time along with The Undertaker. I haven't watched wrestling in 10 years and am a product of mid 80s - early 90s wrestling era. I'm so angry that the WWF/E wasted all these years putting undeserving people in the hall of fame like Skinner, Pete Rose, and Steve Austin (too soon) yet they didn't even bother to put the "Macho Man" Randy Savage in when he was alive. What a travesty. RIP Randy. A piece of my childhood is gone with you

I know this happened a long time ago but during lockdown I’ve been watching wrestler interviews and I honestly didn’t know randy savage was dead. I was a fan of wrestling in the 80s and 90s, macho man and Elizabeth were a power couple of wrestling. RIP macho man

The audio isn't bad... Bret had a stroke, and his voice is clearly affected. He's lucky he can still talk, to be honest. Many can't afterwards... some don't survive.

Actually it was the Bret Hart vs Ricky The Dragon Steamboat in 1986 WWF Superstars that made people aware Bret could be a serious singles wrestler. That match should have been a classic at Wrestlemania in the 80s
