I feel like having the wizard in the middle of the knight unit is always a bad idea for Brettonia in 8th because of how punishing miscasts are for them. Just put them on foot, no one cares if they blow up peasants. Need bowman guarding the trebuchets as well, seems like. John forgot his lore attribute the whole game, also.

I also heard him say Leadbelchers suffer multi shot. They do not, only long range affects them. They can move and multi shot without penalty

4:22 When you cast a non-bound spell and get less than a 3 total on the dice you fail the spell and lose focus. One dice casts have their own risk. Reference, WHFB 8th Rulebook, page 32: 'Not Enough Power' and 'Broken Concentration'.

yeah we know. Been playing a lot of WAP recently and you dont lose concentration in that edition. easily forgotten jumping from edition to edition a lot.

@@MountainMiniatures I play early 9th Age, 1.1 last edition before the lawyers appeared. A total of 2 or less fails the spell regardless of modifiers, but when you lose concentration, you lose your level bonus to spellcasting for that turn, not your ability to cast, wasting power dice is punishment enough. While I have your attention, I am increasingly pleased with your diversity of models. One of the things I like about your channel is that the armies you play are rarely minimaxed and I see a good variety of units and characters on the tabletop.

I have only played Warhammer Total War in the computer; I think these models and videos are magnificent and thanks so much! My only question/objection is why the heck do you guys ALWAYS place a terrain obstacle right in the middle of the battle ? Doesn't that annoy you ?

Ok, since i am a nerd, and have read the books. page 57 of the small rulebook clearly explains that flee straight back, not center to center. In regards to how to flee when you are losing combat: "To resolve the flee move, turn the unit around about its centre so that is is facing directly away from the enemy unit (ignoring the enemey unit) The unit then flees straight forward a distance equal to the result of the flee roll." I dont see anything in the FAQ 1.8 that would change that.

Flee is away center from center. Official update version 1.9 Page 8, second column third question.

When Games Workshop opens a new store (or relocates one) , they sell them. 'Store Opening Dice'. It is possible they are available after 3 months of a new store opening as there is a 2nd party / opening event.
