I know INTs aren't always a QB's fault, but the initial loudest blame is going to focus on the qb. I couldn't tell you the specifics of it. I did find some grainy footage of it on youtube once. Might still be there. High level of competition. Even to be drafted is an accomplishment in and of itself.

Here’s the thing about Brett Favre: He had a very good peak in 1994-1997 or so, and a few very good years afterward (though not as consistently). And while he won a Super Bowl and had a few other very good playoff performances (in the 2000’s he had I believe three games of triple digit passer rating in the playoffs against top ten defenses), the season ending interceptions seem to be more memorable than anything he did well for a lot of people.

I do think Bountygate played a big role in Favre’s massive drop-off in 2010. The injuries, especially the ones he sustained in the 09’ NFCCG had caught up with him, and that may have played a role in his horrible INT. He may not have been at 100% even if he did make the SB since the Saints defense basically committed elder abuse against him. another thing to note is while the Vikings did bring back their squad in 2010 their receiving core suffered a lot of injuries as well which was the main reason they brought back Moss, who himself was no longer the same as he was.

Awesome video man. I'm a lifelong Packers fan and first started watching football because of Brett Favre. When the Packers got rid of him I was definitely team Brett during the breakup and I didn't think it was possible that Aaron Rodgers would be just as good or better than him at the time. Fast forward 15 years and a very similar situation happened after the 22 season. I remembered what happened after the 07 season and decided to stay optimistic this time, and so far Jordan Love is looking really promising. It's been a wild ride. Go Pack Go!

As a Vikings fan born post-1980, I have never had more hope than I did in 2009. I remember coming home from school every day to watch NFL Live on ESPN to see if Brett Favre had signed with the Vikings. I remember seeing that insane TD vs SF to win the game. I remember the BS tripping penalty that basically resulted in their first loss against the Steelers. I remember watching Peyton and Brees compete to be the king of the league and hoping the Vikings could pull something out of their butt. I remember being at the Panthers game freezing my butt off in Charlotte Sunday night, December 20th, and watching Peterson run in their only TD that game (after clenching the division) while Childress and Favre argued on the sideline. But most of all, I remember my heart pounding as I watched Favre throw that interception to Tracy Porter with the NFC Championship game tied 28-28. What a time to be alive

It's hard to imagine a QB ever again trusting his receivers as much as Brett Favre did. He is always the first man I think of when the term "gunslinger" is brought up, no offense to Damon Arnette. Also, I think the sorted graphic at 1:01:06 is really interesting, because as you go from his best years to his worst years, except for his very worst season in 2008, all the others alternate between a 2000s season and a 1990s season, further highlighting Favre's inconsistency.
