Still the most memorable Test debut in my lifetime was the one Brett Lee made here. I watched it happen live on TV and I became a superfan of his instantly. Can't believe this was 25 years ago now... where has the time gone? A fantastic Indian team we were up against too, and it's a testament to how extraordinary we were as a Test side that we swept this series. Hope everyone has a wonderful and safe festive season, wherever in the world you're from!

Gosh how were you guys so good! I'm glad we kind of started to show what we were capable of starting the next tour in 03/04. Still overall made for sad reading as an Indian fan growing up but looking back, these Australian players are all legends today so at least we weren't the only ones getting battered. 😅 Happy holidays and let's hope for a cracker of a boxing day test!

Our batters had support of eachother while on the other hand Srinath was the man who alone carried the entire fast bowling line up for a decade. Srinath... is undoubtedly the bestpacer this country has ever produced.

I see nothing special from Brett Lee. Wayward deliveries only. Indians couldn't face straight bowling. They were done by speed, looked afraid. All were quality players except the 2 prasads. A lot of hard work seems to have been done to see foreign victories which were absent back then. Too funny that Sachin is trying to leave Warne again and again until umpire finally says enough is enough. He just replicated kanitkars shot. This team had so much potential but just didn't have faith and competitiveness.

AAHHH the dark age of Indian Cricket, Sachin Tendulkar out so did the team, only good was Laxman who was basically playing to save his career, failure in Australia and he would've been dropped from the team. What a truly pathetic bowling lineup India had, the truly pathetic Prasad bowling balls on the leg stump giving free runs to the batters, and Srinath well he was a true coward of a player, and did not have the mentality of a professional sportsman, with his bowling talent he should've been ranked with some of the best, but he was a coward, Shastri rightly put him in his place. The only fighter was Kumble.
