FSU has never scheduled Georgia, Bama, Ohio State of Michigan. They want no part of that. The reason Texas made the playoffs is because they were brave enough to schedule Alabama. If FSU EVER beat Alabama then they would get more credit. If they had beaten Alabama like Texas did this year then they would be in the playoffs no matter who their qb was. Washington bet top ten teams, Alabama beat top ten teams, Texas beat top ten teams, Michigan beat top ten teams. The two teams that got cheated were Georgia and Ohio State (who are both better than FSU. Ohio Sates only loss was to the number one team in the nation, and that is being held against them, While FSU cries because they beat Louisville and Notre Dame.

FSU has delusions of grandeur. Nobody actually wants them. The B10 has never once showed interest in FSU going back to when they added MD. The B10 vetted 10 teams in 2023, 5 P12(added 2) and 5 ACC teams. The 5 ACC teams vetted were UNC. UVA, Miami, Gtech, Duke. SEC has no interest in them either. FSU if they win this suit are going to beat their chess in glory and end up in the B12. If they win the suit, it implodes the ACC the other schools the B!0 & SEC actually wants are now free.

The B10 doesn't want them. If FSU blows up the GOR and the conference, B10 can get in the state of FL via Miami. B10 vetted 5 ACC schools in 2023, FSU wasn't one of them. FSU thinks they are grander than they are, B10 not interested and SEC isn't really either.

Brett is EXACTLY RIGHT!!! FSU to the SEC is minimalist move. To the B1G is FAR MORE a bigger benefit to the B1G. Which gives FSU a "bigger head" since there is MORE appreciation for them in the B1G than the SEC. Not to mention MORE MONEY too than what ESPiN can afford to pay. If what is rumored that ESPiN can't afford to pay SEC for a 9th In-conference game is true....the ESPiN/Disney will end up being just another failed company in the dust bin of history. But I don't think that is true. The SEC ONLY wants to play 8 conference games, so they ONLY have to play 1 or maybe 2 tough games per season to load up as many teams in the playoff. That is why ALL the ass-lickers rank ALL the SEC teams in the preseason to make them look so good and dominant, when in reality, it's ESPiN that NEEDS to prop up "big games" for viewership ratings so they can charge more for advertising. What ALL you people don't realize...including Brett McMurphy, is that Commiecast....the arch enemy of ESPiN/ABC/Disney, balked at broadcasting the ACCN on its cable system and affiliate system throughout the Atlantic Seaboard. That was in retaliation for ESPiN raising their rates to Commecast to allow them to carry their signal. Commiecast did the same thing with the Big Ten Network when they formed that with Fox. Although, Big Ten had far more customers all along the Atlantic Coast that wrote and threatened to drop Commiecast(Xfinity). Afterwards Commiecast put the BTN on its Tier 1 Sports package for the price that BTN wanted. SO...imagine the clout that B1G fans have all along the East Coast (ACC footprint) that even the ACC fans don't have in their own conference footprint?!?!! Do you think that has been lost on FSU?!! I will say it again and again....IF...FSU joins the B1G (AAU Conference)....FSU will have to EXPAND their stadium to at least 100,000!!! It will easily fill their home games, no matter who the opponent is, at their current capacity. (And FSU WILL BE an AAU member within a few years afterwards. Same would go for VA Tech.) I can show the numbers of Penn State alumni alone that reside all along the East Coast in ACC footprint. More in Florida than the entire Upper Midwest (Big 10 footprint), MORE in the Carolinas and Georgia ; more in DMV ; more in Jersey ; more in NY / NE ; more in Texas ; more in Commiefornia...in fact MORE everywhere else than the Upper Midwest Conference footprint!! OVER 750,000 living alumni and MOST live in the ACC footprint. I haven't looked up the other B1G schools alumni bases but I'm pretty sure the percentages and numbers are similar. Coupled with the many FSU alums that can be found in the DMV Region, I can see a good fan-viewership base with FSU in the B1G.

Not to mention, improved TV ratings. Did he forget the ratings of FSU-LSU . What does he think FSU-Georgia will get, FSU-Alabama, FSU-Texas, FSU-Oklahoma, FSU-Tennessee, and so on. It is true that FSU would have more impact for the B1G than the SEC. FSU could always use the extra $10m per year that they would get from the B1G over the SEC. Travel would suck for the athletes though.

Honestly the SEC and the Big 10 are in two different leagues. Anyone watching the games can see the SEC football teams are better than anyone else. The other conferences are about the same. The Big 12 has been better than the Big 10 in Mens basketball for many years. Big 12 beat the Big 10 in CFP last year. You are just talking about the latest renewal of TV contracts which were inflated because cable TV is going out of business and College Football is one of the only content sources most surveyed customers still pay to watch so the networks got into a bidding war.

Obviously, certain schools don't want the competition that schools like FSU and Clemson would bring to the SEC. They argue adding another program into a state that already has an SEC footprint hurts the brand, ignoring the fact that Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and now Texas are doing just fine with this same situation. UF breathed a sigh of relief when FSU (mainly at the behest of then coach Bobby Bowden) passed on the opportunity to join the SEC, opting instead for the invite to the ACC. While acknowledging the fact that FSU has done quite well in garnering it's 3 MNC's while a member of the ACC, the land scape has changed. The situation for FSU has become untenable; the gauntlet has been laid down. One way or another FSU is exiting the ACC, and when they do watch for Clemson, Miami, North Carolina, Virginia, and maybe a few others follow them out the door.

FSU leaving the ACC is like Texas looking and discussing joining the PAC12 years ago......Texas to the PAC12 didn't happen...years went by....BUT Texas eventually DID LEAVE!! They just went eastward instead of westward. Then the Big 12 saw their other top brand go with them. Ditto for the ACC....When #1 goes, #2 doesn't want to be left behind. Same situation when USC left for B1G. UCLA tagged along, then UW and UO both skedaddled outta the PAC. Maybe the ACC might stay together in some form of the Carolina Basketball Conference....which is what it basically was since its founding. The reason why they rejected Penn State in the 80's because they knew they couldn't compete in football and made a silly excuse to reject Penn State because PSU wasn't a basketball school. But once FSU goes...expect other top brands to follow or get left with a bag of quarters instead of fists of dollars. Then, even the lowly former Big East basketball schools will be looking for a stable profitable conference home. Even at reduced payouts...they will opt for stability over the same or less $$$ trying to hold the ACC / Carolina Basketball Conference together...while B1G and SEC suck up all the TV $$$ and at least the Big 12 has stability.

The SEC doesn't care! It's one school up against their entire conference in that region. They have that region of the country so locked up that the extra money ain't gonna make a difference to them. Prove it! Invite them and and let's see. What happened 30 years ago has no bearing on what's going on now. Bobby Bowden is dead. Different program. SEC loves to talk smack about FSU or Clemsons schedule being weak. Yet they are scared to invite them into the SEC. You really think Missouri is more difficult to play than Clemson or FSU? Even Oklahoma has gotten their A$$ handed to them last three times they played Clemson. Prove your point and invite Clemson or FSU in. Or take the cowards route and invite in weak UNC and use that silly excuse "well we already have those states" funny. You had Texas too. And Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi have always had two teams in the SEC and it hasn't hurt one bit.

@@davesteller6301 There are only two and a half teams in the ACC … FSU, Clemson and Miami once every three or four years. Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Texas A&M, Ole Miss, and now Oklahoma and Texas are all, in any given season legitimate playoff contenders. Playing quality opponents week in and week out built the brand (The SEC) which is the Gold Standard of college football. I would love to see both Clemson and FSU in the SEC. Geographically and traditionally it makes the most sense. Unfortunately I am not on the selection committee. Perhaps you are right. After decades of building their programs on the backs of no name schools my high school would have had little difficulty with, the few powerhouses left in the now and soon to be defunct PAC 10 and ACC have finally seen the light. I have little to go on except history.

FSU is upset and rightfully so. This conference realignment every year based on the TV payouts to athletic departments is really pathetic and bears no resemblance to a merit based profession or an association of distinguished institutions for higher learning. It's just a trust of government funded for-profit sport leagues. Its really not as appealing of a product as it was in the past.

Then they saw what was happening in Tallahassee and decided they better go after him but it too late! The brick house was being built and Bobby said no to Alabama and also no to their conference. We still gonna say no to that conference of hicks and rednecks. It's the conference of tobacco juice and deer antler everywhere! Mike also says no thanks

Doesn’t do anything? Just out of curiosity, have you ever watched a college football game? If so, did you ever see a commercial? Why were there commercials? Would money have anything to do with it? Did you ever make the connection between ad revenue and conference payouts? The more people who watch a team play translates directly into $$$$. The most watched teams are the most valuable. A team in the top 10 in viewership “doesn’t do anything”? Well, nothing but make money for everyone in whatever conference they are in. Are you trying to make the case that conferences and the member schools don’t care about money? If given the choice of talking a school that made everyone money or one that cost everyone money, they would take the latter? Really?

FSU administration has already...last summer....posted what they think their numbers are....and made comparison that they would be the #3 biggest program in the B1G Conference even ahead of Penn State. Which is really cooking the books. But suffice to say they are a big brand and would probably be a strong #4 in reality. Even after adding the PAC schools, I think they would probably still be bigger brand than any of the PAC schools. Expanding along the Atlantic Coast would be VERY advantageous for the B1G...even to go as much as 24 teams. Which would end up meaning 4 things... 1) The ACC dissolved...and lots of decent real estate comes available on the market 2) Notre Dame doesn't have a guaranteed landing spot and a much harder path to get into the playoff, let alone MNC. 3) Notre Dame would be one of those 24 teams in the NEW EXPANDED B1G...LEAGUE 4) The term "conference" only applies to D2 football....EVERYBODY else forms a LEAGUE

They also have The Patriot League and Pioneer League respectively. The D1FBS has Conference USA and The American Athletic Conference as well as more prominent Groups. Delaware is soon enough to move to CUSA from The Colonial Athletic Association.🤔🏈B.W.

If they repeat the same results next season, they will make the playoffs. Winning it all next year might heal all wounds, buts it imperative for the noles to perform on the field and start the vengeance tour starting with the orange bowl. Make the money on the field simply continue winning and competing at the current level they are at now. Save the money don’t use it for exit fees and put the money into the portal
