Wazzu and OSU got screwed the most, and it’s not close. Not only did they get left out in the cold after everyone else abandoned ship, but they also are looking at about a 40% budget reduction for athletics. Should the ACC implode, it is likely that a few teams will be just as screwed as WSU/OSU. But until that happens, the Cougs and Beavs are unquestionably #1.

I would agree that WASHST and OREST are at the top of the screw list; however, the ACC is unlikely to end up like the PAC. The ACC is likely to survive as a Tier 2 with the BIG12. The BIG12 has already imploded, but it survived as a Tier 2 when the PAC didn't.

Worst Realignment move ever was Georgia Tech and Tulane leaving the SEC. For Tech it did not immediately hurt them and they did win a national championship in the ACC but the move overtime has been bad.

Oklahoma's advantage over A&M in the Big XII came down to coaching. The Sooners knocked it out of the park with Stoops. While the Aggies stumbled through with Slocum and Fran. Then Mike Sherman came in and actually did a solid job of closing the gap against OU. A&M won 2 out of the last 3 meetings against the Sooners thanks to teams that Sherman built (Sumlin was the HC in A&M's last win). Also, 2024 Texas A&M IS NOT 2000's A&M. Totally different monster with the new facilities, money etc. If Sooner thinks history's going to repeat itself (and I know they do), then they're in for a rude awakening.

Utah is the school that recommended that the PAC 12 reject what was offered in a 30 million per year media deal, based on one of their marketing professor's opinion that they should hold out for 50 million

The PAC died as a Tier 1 due to demo/cultural changes in the footprint. It died as a Tier 2 because it failed to acknowledge flight risks and overvalued itself even after USC/UCLA gave notice.

From 1975 to 2011 it was A&M 21 and tu 17 in football. Being a military school for so long and NCAA didn't have scholarships limits. Big schools like tu would give anybody a scholarship and sit them on the bench instead of having to play against them.

Well the Pac12, Oregon State and Washington State are obvious. Texas A&M still gets to be in the big time, they just have to compete. And the ACC will be fine. Even if Florida State and Clemson leave they will have to write the conference a huge check. And the ACC will backfill with the best G5 teams they want.

These "Top Five" vids are gold! Nice job on this one, Paul. aggy male cheerleader prancing and 'hitching' is correctly defined (even in sec) as "just weird". also, acc members say that the value of the conf is already 'devalued' by tv gods as if clem and fsu are gone (try and understand that one while lucid!)

" the value of the conf is already 'devalued' by tv gods as if clem and fsu are gone (try and understand that one while lucid!)" It's not hard to understand. The ACC's deal was called "terrible" on Day 1, which in context can only mean substantially below market value. Also, the stated basis for the new CFP payout was success during the 4-team era. The ACC was as successful as the B1G, so the new payment clearly has been adjusted for expected depletion.

@@user-qh5rm4hi4k Again, the ACC's contract is known to be far below market value. It can tolerate some depletion without the the ACC falling below the discounted contract rate. Contracts can't be unilaterally adjusted without terms that allow it. Again, none of this is hard to understand.

@@user-qh5rm4hi4k I can't explain any better. I will try to simplfy more. A great deal on 12 doughnuts remains very good if it drops down to 9.
