Struggling for words, that's one of the best podcasts I've ever listened to. Funny, moving, fascinating, so good. Thanks guys and what a dude Tippie is!

Really enjoyed this. Have known Tippie for a pretty long time now and have heard many of his stories first hand, but he never fails to hold my attention. Such a great guy. Also, my first run down A-line was behind him with Wade behind me - around 2003 on a Marzocchi press trip. Was unreal!

It's pretty crazy what alcohol and drugs can do to the brain and body. I got sober in 2006, and still have to play that tape all the way through. That little mantra or saying was drilled into my head by the oldtimers that helped me get sober. Also like what Brett said, just because we get sober, it doesn't mean life will automatically get better. It gets different, a lot of times very, very painful, because we have to lot clean up, but it will slowly get better. We are the lucky few that got a 2nd chance at life, god bless those smokey little halls. Thanks for the openness and honesty @BrettTippie. Keep up the good work and the same for the rest you all getting clean and sober.

I've just escaped the grip of alcohol addiction and totally related to Brett's play the tape forward theory , it's only temporary fun . I'm 2 months sober now . Thinking ahead did work for me .

Yes that age that missed the BMX thing basically, I was older so too cool for BMX when it hit here locally. So 57 and therefore went from the 10 speed to the first full rigid MTB, the little kids were riding BMX. So had to finally learn to jump at 55.
