As someone who produces music, this is eerily accurate to the pop music scene. Honestly the real talent in the music business are the audio engineers developing the instrumentals, mixing, mastering and proper vocal corrections. Sometimes that stuff can take days, weeks, or even months for one song. The artists' themselves very rarely do anything but have their voices recorded. This guy sums it up nicely for the people who don't know a thing about digital music or audio production hahaha

Max Otto no no, the music he's making here is shit, however if he tried to put in effort and make a song better than all the generic shit I'm sure nobody would like it. Well, I'd like it but the general market eats up shit like what he's making in the video, it's why it sounds so similar to a lot of modern hits.

Today's pop music is still good (e.g., Somebody That I Used To Know, Rolling In The Deep). It's just rarer or too few of them compared to the 60s when all of chart toppers were written by serious musicians or musicians who take their work seriously. xD

To be honest, I think the musical past gets looked at with rose tinted glasses, as the stuff that gets remembered is only the stuff that is worth remembering. Of course there was great stuff like the Beatles, but for every good song, there was a heap of mindless noise on the pop charts like The Chordettes "Lollipop" and Surfaris "Surfer Joe". I remember my father telling me that when Jimmy Hendricks "Purple Haze" got high on the pop charts, him and his mates were all like "FINALLY! Something decent getting popular!". Kinda reminds me of how a lot of people reacted when songs like Somebody That I Used To Know and Rolling In The Deep came out.

Damn this sums up what some people call "music" today! My contemporaries have been brainwashed by "MTV" and "VEVO" to think that this artificial, inane, cookie-cutter "music is good. Not only is it musically bad, but the lyrics are reprehensible.} People singing about rapes, being" hangover"(I could go on.), and all this directed to brainwasj children. I feel like I was born in the wrong generation, when people don't know who Johnny Cash is, when people listen to "Justin Beiber"(Don't know who that is), and when people ask me "Who?" when I tell them I'm listening to Jimi Hendrix.

there is plenty of "good" music today, but i dont think you should be so ignorant. i dont like most of the popular songs nowadays, but im not gonna say that its bad music, and look down upon people who listen to it, just because i dont like it. And if they dont like the music i listen to thats fine. Music is relative

It's easy to get annoyed by the fact that popular music today is in the shitter, but some perspective here: it is easier than ever for those who care to look up all the good stuff. Let the masses listen to whatever they do. The real music will still be there for those who can appreciate it.

Honestly I think it's a good time to be in. Now I am not a fan of the radio or a lot of popular stuff but its a time were we can hear generations of great music from the touch of a portable phone. And there are great artists that are not mainstream out there, you just got to be observant.

Baby would I lie to you Baby do you think I'm lying to you Uh, would I ever lie to you Y'know baby I would never ever lie to you. I think of you when I'm alone I've been to London, Paris and Tokyo Y'know that I could be your Romeo But you're treating me like Pinocchio. You're treating me like a little wooden boy Well girl I'm telling you, for you I do got wood and boy I'd let you pull my strings any day I'm your puppet baby Spinning right round and round like a record player. You're running round my thoughts everyday Doing laps of the tennis courts in my brain, Lets stop, take a break we could go to Stockholm Or another capital city like Helsinki or Rome. Home, We can stay in get some pizza watch some Netflix Kisses on the sofa from Bretts lips We could share a tray of jumbo fish and chips Pop the cork on a bottle of cheap fizz. I think of you when I'm alone I've been to London, Paris and Tokyo Y'know that I could be your Romeo But You're treating me like Pinocchio. It's like I'm always flying in solo Whether to London, Paris or Tokyo I don't have to be this lonely though But you keep treating me like Pinocchio. Well I've seen the film and I don't resemble the character In any way and anyway who made you a barrister A character of assassination shut in the animation We'd be the bad guy fox giving me aggravation. You're saying I'm a liar that my pants are on fire My attire is non-combustible its stylish and functional Lets put this all behind us I'm a lover not a fighter That's what makes me so damn lovable. Seems like I'm always flying solo Whether to London, Paris or Tokyo I don't have to be this lonely though. Brett Domino Pinocchio 2014 I think of you when I'm alone I've been to London, Paris and Tokyo Y'know that I could be your Romeo But You're treating me like Pinocchio Pinocchio

Like most things in life, there is no secret magic to making pop songs like this. However, it takes a lot of time and effort to both learn how to do all this and to actually do it. Anyone could make this song, but anyone could be a rocket scientist with enough time and effort (natural talent plays a role, but not a giant one, especially on the producer side).

The pure genius behind the lyrics is incredible. Part one I feel all the Jennifer Lawernce references went unnoticed as the rest was so good. This is just as good as there are so many references to Iggy Azalea (and many other that are all the same as this is ripping the piss). But by far the best part is that this is easily on par with songs with budgets that rival a small countries net worth if not better.

Nathaniel Wright It sounds like she's acting 'urban' which is a culture rather than a color. I know black people that don't act like the traits you claim makes one black, yet the color of their skin tells me that they are indeed black. I think that's what Whats this option?! was referring to. I'm not sure how to act out a color but everyone has a culture that influences their actions and persona. (For example, Eminem is in fact a white guy however he has urban mannerisms which would make sense since he grew up around that culture.)

Funny irony is...the "Top 40" crowd giving this video a thumbs up not realizing this is satire with them as the butt of the joke. Good stuff Mr. Domino.

I think "You've got me falling like a domino" would have been a better line than Pinocchio but still this was hilarious and very catchy.
