One of the best sounding pedals, I've heard up to now. Nice Bassman/JTM tones at lower gain levels, excellent 1959 JMP/SLP tones at higher levels for me. Plus, the reaction to attack and the harmonics sound right, which I hardly hear from pedals. Not so cheap, but on the other hand you hardly will need any other overdrive pedal apart from this one. Maybe not even an amp....

Cheers, Brett. The Eric Johnson is one of the more unusual but greatest production Strats ever. Flat board at 12" radius. Very bright, loud and unforgiving pickups, quartersawn neck. Different and good.

When you demoed this with humbuckers I thought the pedal sounded superb. For some reason the combination of the Strat, the Kaluna and whatever model you were using on the Axe-FX sounded a bit plastic to my ears. It could be my ears, it could be the fact that this is the first thing I've listened to this morning, or it could be the extreme cold snap we're experiencing here in Eastern England because I know that all the pieces of kit usually sound great. Still a good demo though.
