Generational talent. He's one of the few pinnacles in regards to his position and sport. Obviously we can see the physical attributes, but that also came with work and discipline. However, he's also got the smarts and is a student of the game and has been working on his craft. His stance and the way it's loaded so he doesn't waste any steps on either foot. That's not by accident. He's putting it all together, the athleticism, explosiveness, intelligence, technique and the instincts, too. Nick Bosa is a complete player and he's doing it at a hall of fame level.

He is not a generational talent. Actually, talent wise he’s not even a top 30-40 EDGE. He’s just maximized his potential in ways others haven’t which is why he’s elite. Myles Garrett is a generational talent

I'm watching the part about false steps, and as a track guy that's really similar to a problem a lot of sprinters have in their starts myself included) where you take that false step to push back into the blocks instead of being fully loaded like Bosa is. edit: lol just got to the part where you compared the back hand to a track start, everything is similar to a 3-point (or without blocks) start in track biomechanically

Watching you compare his pass rush with another edge rusher reminded me of something Mike Golic said years ago about Reggie White. The D-Line coach asked Reggie to demonstrate one of his pass rush moves and explain it for the rest of the D-Line. Reggie showed the move, but couldn't describe it because he just did it. I wonder if Bosa is the same and that's just how he does it, or if he practiced not having that little hitch and getting off the ball faster.

Thanks for doing this video. It's remarkable that Jimmy G's injury in 2018 basically allowed Nick Bosa to become a 49er. He's on a HOF trajectory, and at the end of the day might be the most recognized 49er to wear #97, which is saying something since Bryant Young was also a hell of a player.

Excellent content and insights. This is really enhancing the football experience for me. I love the nomenclature for the different techniques. The "Howard Mudd" technique versus the angle set for the tackle. The double scissors, the foot position, and the efficiency of motion truly seem to make Bosa different. Seems like footwork is so important to every position. This is a higher level of knowledge about the game that I really appreciate. Thank you very much for your hard work in putting this together! Thumbs up'd and subscribed!

Not saying Darrisaw "won" by any means but he did pretty good and he has gotten even better throughout the year. He has the agility, flexibility and strength to match up w Bosa. Will be interesting to watch if these 2 teams meet in the postseason. No weakness in Bosa's game at all but it seems that teams that chip him off the line or play physical w him he can get frustrated. The guy is phenomenal though and is a pleasure to watch.
