This dude is an alpha. He has a lot of similarities to Aaron Donald. Growing up with a great father, underestimated all the time, hard worker, powerful, destructive to other teams, and mature due to upbringing. The only difference from Aaron Donald is that AD is a little more polished and Jared Verse is a little too playful and loud. AD was all business.

I know it's simply how the NFL has trended in recent years, but I can't help but chuckle at a 255-pounder being described as a "big heavy edge". 15 years ago, we called that a middle linebacker.🤣🤣

Good chance Verse is playing olb in a 3-4 scheme. Suggs was like 6-3 265 20 years ago. Seems pretty close. Sidenote that mfer played all way til 2019 (started 2003) and had 6.5 sacks, double digit sacks at 11 in 2017. What a long and successful career.

Hey Brett. With the rise of the new generation of pass rushers like T.J. And Garrett and Parsons as well as Donald retiring still at the top of his game, I would love if you could revisit a Khalil Mack and remind people that he is still a generational player. I think he gets under appreciated because he hasn’t played for winning teams the last few years, but I still remember your Apex Predator video about him and it made me fall in love with analyzing pass rushers and watching the trenches for the first time. I hope one day he can go and get a ring somewhere but, we’ll see. Great video though❤️

I'm no genious when it comes to evaluating players, but I feel like the top 3 edge rushers Latu, Turner, and Verse could all be the "best" edge in the class just depending on what you're looking for. Lautu I think is the best pass rusher and he's okay as a run defender, but isn't going to be dropping back into coverage. Turner will drop in coverage and has a great motor but isn't as good at setting the edge or getting to the qb. Verse will get to the qb and is good at setting the edge but won't be dropping into coverage. If you're a team that values having a coverage guy definetly get Turner, or if you want a great pass rusher get latu, or if you want someone setting the edge get Verse. They're all great just at different things so it really comes down to what your defense wants to do.

There is a similarity between pool and edge rushers apart from angles. A huge part of performance comes from the stance. Get to the play/table in a chaos means you have no idea what you're doing and your technique, consequently your performance is going to be "suboptimal". No offense meant Brett, love the analogy and love your videos!

Hey Brett, Why does it seems this draft is so weak at interior lineman, especially at the NFL 3tech position? Do you think that the Olineman seem to be so good this year due to the lack of enough standout interior Defensive lineman (even DE's (not Edges) this year)? Are we looking at Fools gold for these interior guys and some of these tackles? Man is there at least one 3tech in this draft that we seem to be overlooking? (really bummed that I cant find a interior that can play 3tech in this draft before before what seems very late 2nd round (Am I wrong?)..
