I would not characterize how Tom plays as being 'Rhythm guitar' - this is far too vague and ambiguous, Tom is composing entire melodic/harmonic pieces here, not 'comping' - perhaps we need to review our terms for types of guitar playing, this isn't Rhythm guitar it is high level composition and performance, creative expression, the guitar is massively versatile instrument, Uncle Larry demonstrates this very powerfully here.

I would love to get some exercises for playing lead without a pic. I'm watching how effortlessly he uses the right hand.

If I just knew a fraction of what Tom’s forgotten, I’d be a much better guitarist. Fantastic.

Tom is a fantastic guitarist and musician...but boy, I worry about his terrible posture when playing!

Using the thirds example reminded me of Mike Campbells approach on Break Down. I love that psychic tension. Fleetwood Mac was a master of building that tension so it was no surprise that Stevie Nicks used the Heartbreakers to record her solo records. Tom has so much to impart. Sweet jam with that 9-11 slide. Soulful!

Larry is at the top of his game . . . . fantastic. The way he theorizes the harmonies he plays are so Hendrixish with a classy Gibson flare . . . and who needs any pedals - although a 80s vintage chorus, with a slight delay may accentuate it all some . . . fantastic PROFESSIONAL guitarist... He really should get a tame stylish competent bass player and a knowledgeable progressive keyboardist and turn the recorders on . . . and leave em on as long as they are all together wanting to play. Great video.

Weird fact: KZbin is putting hard right survivalist J6er ads against your content. Not sure if you have any control over that, but it's weeeeird. There's you and Tom doing lovely stuff, and then there's Beardy McCammo growling, "It's about to go down! Let me help you prep for the revolution!"
