The same goes for me. It's going to be really weird not seeing them again. I really liked Matt Casey and Brett. In season 12, we only see Casey in the episode “Port in the storm” and knowing that they won't be featured in subsequent episodes makes me feel not so much like continuing to follow the series. Because I won't have the same amount of thrills seeing them.

I think both Brettsey and Stellaride had equally beautiful weddings. Each was meaningful & both had a setting that matched who they were. Stellaride's outdoor & romantic against the city they serve while Brettsey went indoors & simple but still meaningful. I don't think there's any competition

This was one of the sweetest weddings that I have seen in Chicago fire ....aside from Kelly and Stella's wedding. No matter how difficult it was for these two to find lasting and genuine love, I'm so glad that Matt found who he should have been with all along. I'm going to miss these two on the show, but this was the perfect way to give them a proper exit. I hope that they end up having a baby together down the road.

Such a lovely wedding for such a great ship. I’m so happy they got their happily ever after. That said, I’ll miss Sylvie on the show, it’s a shame the writers thought that if they kept her with Casey long term (even mainly off screen) they wouldn’t have any more Sylvie centric stories to tell. Would have loved to have seen her continue to grow as a paramedic and for them to have concentrated on that more over the last couple of seasons. This wedding episode will always be special to me though. Fingers crossed we get an update on them at some point! The show wont be the same without their presence felt.

In a way, it's good that Gabriella Dawson, who was married to Sylvie Brett & Gabriella's brother, Antonio, who dated Sylvie, didn't attend Brett's & Casey's wedding because it would've been awkward for them. When jesse has appeared since he left, the episodes have been jam packed with other stories. As for Caseys mother, that’s explained in Season 9 when Christie does make an appearance. Neither Matt nor Christie have seen or heard from Nancy in years. Would I have liked to have seen them all in the wedding episode? Yes. But i understand practical reasons, because this is a show, not real life. So in some cases if you get character absences you have to use your imagination and fill in the blanks. I chose to imagine differently to you as to why we don’t see characters. Like maybe Christie was on vacation for the wedding? Maybe she moved away from Chicago? Maybe her car broke down? You chose “let’s make it a mean Brett / Dawson comparison”
