DIY USB-powered LED Bigfoot Light

Hello and welcome back to another special episode of what in the world am I going to make next LOL. Today I take on creating a custom USB-powered light from repurposed components. The design combines a few of my favorite things... Cryptozoology and Woodworking! To be specific, Bigfoot, Aliens, UFOs, and Oak. To make it light up, I'm using a short strip of a 5-volt LED light strip that is powered by a repurposed USB cable. This is possible because USB ports are a constant 5 volts. To make it more user-friendly, I added a light-up switch in the front and a barrel connector in the back so there isn't a constant cable to wrap around the base. The design for the light was done in Adobe Illustrator and involves several layers of MDF and neon orange acrylic stacked together. The materials were cut with the Stepcraft D.840 with a 1/16" bit for the MDF, and a special single flute bit for the acrylic that was 1/8". The design as a whole is in reference to one of my favorite shows - The X-Files - where the office of Agent Mulder has a poster with a UFO that states "I want to believe" except mine includes a Sasquatch and a different phrase. And speaking of the design as a whole... It's a very easy project for beginners just getting into woodworking and using a CNC as well as how to wire up LEDs.

Bro!!!! That is absolutely breathtaking! What an awesome piece! I need to get my ass in gear and knock out that VHS display that we've been talking about for an eternity and commission you to bring it to life. Excellent video as usual man, great job!
