Hi Guys and welcome to my unboxing and review of the Breville Hot Cup Kettle (VKJ784) With Variable Water Dispense. This is the second one I've owned over the past 5 years and I love them. #breville #hotcup #kettle

Thank you for publishing a test and review of both machines. Very helpful to make a decision which one to buy.

Something people may find handy is to add a smart plug so you can prep the cup and volume and press the start button with the smart plug off but the kettle power on then have an Alexa routine which switches the plug on when you ask Alexa for a cup of tea then switches it off again after 45 seconds and tells you your tea is ready.

wonderfully engaging review sah! thanks... great info to inform on buying one, Amazon delivering tomorrow. excellent amount of info at a perfect pace, I like the suggestions, duo option would be perfect, they could add a simple telescopic cowling with an insulated grip to avoid the splashes for sure, early morning legs peeking out of a dressing gown would be protected... and anything *else* down there. i'd've only wanted to know the min, max and middle millilitre dispensing amounts to gauge on standard cup sizes.... but we'll see tomorrow after collecting it👍

Thank you for this review ,these are a great -time saving and economical device , Saving on electric costs and unnecessary trips backwards and forwards to the sink for re filling as would happen if a person was only boiling enough water for one cup .. Large 2 litre capacity , enough height underneath the spout for fast filling of pot noodle pots , and different sizes of cups - mugs . I don`t know when they first came out - as my Dad gave it to me and he had it for around 4 years / Iv`e used it for around 6 years - so a long lasting & dependable device too . Unfortunately it packed up on Saturday SO Iv`e ordered a direct replacement and its turning up on Wed ..

Nice one mate, thanks for commenting. I'm passionate about the Pot Noodles too and forgot to mention them (slap). This kettle puts the perfect amount of hot water in a Pot Noodle. For those turning their noses up, why not try poshing up a Pot Noodle. Throw in Beef Hoola Hoops in a Beef Pot Noodle and Plain Hoola Hoops in a Chicken Pot Noodle. My God that's a tasty snack! * disclaimer * I do not endorse the use of Sour Creme and Chive Hoola Hoops in any Pot Noodle. That combination should be avoided at all cost.

Hi, Im thinking about getting one of these however i see that on your first boil it took just over a minute then the time came down! I have just emptied my kettle and put one cup of water in, it took 53 seconds to boil ! Am i missing something here? Im not being argumentative because i really like the idea of one of these im just not sure if they are more beneficial than an ordinary kettle. I would appreciate any help from people who have one. Cheers and thanks for the video well done 👍

I’ve been looking too to see if they are worth it , another issue I thought of is when making more than one cup you have to do this each time so four cups 4 x 53 seconds or with ordinary kettle four cups 1 x 53 seconds -I’m no longer convinced

@@Melanie-qi9nq When you need to make several cups - use your normal kettle.

Hi, like yourself I'm on my second & my daughter is still using my original. However I've found with both after time even though it is used mostly on maximum flow the amount if hot water gets less till eventually just over half a mug. I have de-scaled but to no avail, I just wish they set the maximum flow higher from the beginning. I suppose I should read what it says on the box "cup" not mug. Gripe done still good value for money & makes the job easier.

Just ordered a red one from Argos. This is much better than my old Von Chef as I had to stop flow manually...Great review, but did I see a naked man plugging in the product!

I get what you're saying. It does boil but I'm pretty surre the water is not as hot as that from a kettle. I suppose this is done to stop the 'spitting' of the boiling water when it comes out the spout.
@peacetoall59928 ай бұрын
It's hot enough to drink - especially if you're gonna drink moreorless straightaway

How to clean

If you're not using filtered water then just descale it as normal. Make sure its totally flushed out tho before reuse. I think it's in the Book
