Thanks for this video! Been looking everywhere for this type of review, as you said there aren't enough of them out there! Really helpful review and helped me make my decision between this and the Delonghi Nespresso Lattissima Touch. I'm going with the Nespresso simply because the capsules are so much easier and it requires so much less maintenance - albeit there is a cost for that convenience.

@@justinmahone8571 Waitrose own light blue bag - its the stuff they use in their free coffee machine at the door for customers easily the best coffee around! Or Lidl French coffee grade 5!

exactly the machine is faulty...either her machine or all of them as a cappuccino should be the same amount of drink when finished than a latte..it just uses more coffee and a bit less milk

can i ask once you have added the milk is the coffee HOT like you get from costa etc, asking because have a delonghi machine wiht the milk frother nosel at the side, you wait for the water to heat up for the coffee part, then you have to froth the milk in a jug BUT i find that it never gets hot enough like when you get one from costa...i always have to stuck the cup with the finished coffee in and heat it up more with the frothing wand

Mine is really hot. If you need hotter coffee...pull shot through machine before you brew coffee and pre heat your cup. I usually don't do it, because its hot for me. Much hotter than from De Longhi Magnifica

The whole machine doesn't need to be cleaned very regularly. However, the milk container will need to be cleaned at least 1-2 times a week. Just rinse it through with water for a minute or so at the tap, and you can also just run a few drink cycles to clean it whilst attached to the machine. Best think, is to ensure no milk deposits dry up in your machine. You can see it externally, but you'll never be able to see it inside the milk container. A few tips for yourself: 1) The black scoop has a 'TAMPER' at the end. 2) The small cappuccino was an absolute joke. You can set how much milk & water you want it to push out for each drink. Check the manual it tells you how to set it. Ideally, you want it to make your drink to be completed in one pump and not have to run 2 drinks. It's affects the whole process and you'll notice it, once you start getting more familiar with coffee. 3) Store the coffee in an air tight container and close it as soon as you've taken your desired amount of coffee out. Its usually recommended to store it in the fridge. Hope it helps.

@@louiseglaze3962 Hi, I don't think you can change the amount of actual milk you want, but you can adjust the amount of froth from the knob on the front of the milk canister, but this usually does also slightly increases the amount of milk. What you can set is the amount of water for the espresso, it should be under something like 'setting your drink'. I don't have the machine anymore as I upgraded to a bean to cup, but if I find it, I'll try post a link. 👍🏼 If you look in the manual on PAGE 16 or under 'setting the amount of espresso'

Just for information. I am not a coffee specialist but I have worked in a Coffe shop before. I remember that the filter holder was always dry and compact. I think that's the rule of thumb. Otherwise it's not really an espresso. currently I am looking for the right dosage to have this 👍

For a start try pellini espresso(pre ground) from amazon. It's kind of good. Better than costa, starbucks etc. Coffee from shop is pre ground too coarsely for espresso machine.
