Strionic Resonator works with her. Granted, it only copies her trigger once, due to it needing to be tapped to do so. Putting Bruna's trigger on EtB with Eldrazi Displacer in Standard wouldn't be a good idea.

great job with the vid!! but why oh why dont you suggest bruna and gisela in a kaalia of the vast deck?? you can tutor bouth xD and in magic christmas land you can get bruna in turn 5 declare attackers step AND hard cast gisela in 2nd main phase and BAM there is brisela xD i know you are talking about them AS commanders but what powerhouses they would be in a kaalia deck xD

Soul separator combined with the newly spoiled Tree of Perdition. You get a 0/13 Zombie which is ok but you also get a 1/1 that has an ability to tap it and make an opponents life total 1.

actually for soul separator, it's just commander staple, as you choose the graveyard for your commander if it gets killed, get the spirit with the commander'S abilities, and get the zombie with the commander body, and also your commander can be recast from the command zone after the spirit token dies (I'm assuming that if the spirit has all the text, than it counts as legendary, and it can't be in play with the commander) And this can be done always, guaranteeing permanent commander ability presence on the board.

soul separator works pretty well with */* creature cards (those where the * value is defined) because you will get two "big" tokens. for ex: with Dungrove Elder, you get a */* flying hexproof where * is the number of forests you control and a X/X zombie where X is the number of forets you control as the token entered the battlefield (the value won't change)

Unfortunately, you will end up with a 1/1 flying hexproof Dungrove Elder and an X/X Zombie. Relevant Comp. Rules excerpt: 706.9d When applying a copy effect that doesn’t copy a certain characteristic, retains an original value for a certain characteristic, or modifies the final value of a certain characteristic, any characteristic-defining ability (see rule 604.3) of the object being copied that defines that characteristic is not copied. If that characteristic is color, any color indicator (see rule 204) of that object is also not copied. Example: Quicksilver Gargantuan is a creature that reads, “You may have Quicksilver Gargantuan enter the battlefield as a copy of any creature on the battlefield, except it’s still 7/7.” Quicksilver Gargantuan enters the battlefield as a copy of Tarmogoyf, which has a characteristic-defining ability that defines its power and toughness. Quicksilver Gargantuan does not have that ability. It will be 7/7.

emeria sheperd and burnished heart in this deck is insane. my cousin uses this and is back after every board wipe. using extraplanar lens to get the mana for burnished heart it is almost unstoppable unless you exile stuff

soul separator can fit pretty well as a one or two of into Death's Shadow. turn one, play the shadow, it dies, ramp up, play separator, get your 13/13. The flier will automatically die but I think you'll be fine.

CardKingdom IS indeed super fast! I live in bloody Norway and I have experienced to have my cards in hand after only 3(!) days from them. Usually no more than 6 days, but hey, it's across the globe. Super reliable, and they make up for every messed up order as well (all messed up orders have ended up on a Very positive note as I have ended up with more cards than intended for no extra costs). The best shell for these new angels is probably in a GW Captain Sisay deck. They are both legendary so you can tutor for them, and you have access to Gaddock Teeg (also tutorable). Gw also have Saffi Eriksdotter that can be flashed in at instant speed if you have Yeva, Nature's Herald. Then there is also the white legend that sends legends to your hand instead of your grave when they die.

Another suggestion I have for white ramp is Sword of the Animist, especially since white has a lot of equipment support, and generally speaking mono-colored decks run a lot of basic lands. Moreover, Extraplanar Lens, Caged Sun, and Gauntlet of Power are all near-requirements for mono-colored decks as mana doublers.

My first thought when I saw Soul Separator was the Tree of Perdition that was just spoiled. The two are insane together. The soul will exchange its toughness (1) with any player’s life total - plus you get a 0/13 too. It’ll go right into my Doran deck.

i believe that "captain sisay" is the best commander for a deck like this. You get creature tutors, mana producers, miraris wake, good reliable carddraw. Pretty sure Brusela would be great here.

I think Soul separator is just great for the Eldrazi Titans (new and old) and a lot of leviathans. Which means making mono-blue sea beast with low drop artifact recursion/ramp into tezzerret and soul separator and then the top end of levianthans, octopi and eldrazi.

im debating between gisela and bruna for my mono white commander deck. i have many of the equipment tutor cards so im leanin towards gisela, and basically treating the deck as a voltron with bruna basically just being another equipment. however if i go bruna i was thinking of goin pillowfort and control route.

Also Torrent elemental Exile it, get baby one and a 3/5, then put it back into play. Recur the separator (glissa, e-wit, academy ruins) andkeep rolling. Combine with an altar for shenanigans.

If you put worldspine wurm into the graveyard and you respond to the shuffle trigger with soul separator you'll get the 15/15 zombie, and the 1/1 that when it dies you'll get 3 5/5, i believe that works ?

would that soul seperater work with wurmcoil engine. like the spirit gets the abilities so when it dies you get wurms. also eldrazi angle would go good in like a abzan commander infect style with tainted strike and fireshreaker hit 20 infect no problem. plus you get the reanimater style as well

I think the best deck to play brisela is a captain sisay deck which can tutor all the pieces needed, and even make an annoying lock with brisela+ gaddoc teeg

I'm not sure if Flickering Bruna, the Fading Light will work. The card says "When you cast...", not "When it enters play.." So you have to cast it from your hand no?

Great flavor and interesting mechanic! I know that would have obviously made the card too wordy, but it will often have problems flavorwise if you do this on a spirit on a zombie. Take Soulless One for example, lol.

Doesn't work; tokens don't have a back side. Depending on the flip card the token is either outright gone (if you copy something like flip-Jace) or it just fails to flip and stays on the face (Avacyn, Militia Captain).

If I were to make a mono white Brisela deck I think I would use Gisela as the commander just so I could play it early and have it inevitably die. Then I would rely on tutors to get Bruna late game and use her trigger to return Gisela forming Brisela at the end of that turn. Speaking of tutors one colorless tutor you guys didn't mention is Tamiyo's Journal which is a tutor and card draw both of which are premium in mono white commander. Also the newly announced Thalia's Lancers would be great in the mono white deck even though it's a flavor fail.

+The Command Zone 20:20 Not exactly the first time ever in _serious_ Magic, _meld_-like mechanic was made back in Mirage set 1996 (same time of Yu-Gi-Oh public release). All players, at least on YT, totally forgot / ignore about *Kyscu Drake + Spitting Drake = Viashivan Dragon* and, more famous, *3 Nightstalkers = Spirit of the Night*. Meld is a mix between *Kyscu Drake* as mechanic & *B.F.M* as physical support.

The soul separator would be really good with Grave Titan. The new Emrakul will probably get banned in EDH, it's still a little too powerful. The new angles are really good, they would be good in Blue, White, Black. You could run Mirror Gallery, then use Infinite Reflection or Rite of Replication, and it would be nuts.

Use Soul Separator on the Worldspine Wurm trigger. A 15/15 and a flying 1/1 Trample who summons three 5/5s. Just for fun. Or Eldrazi titan.

You could split creatures with decent stats and a "combat damage to player" ability and no evasion. That way you have a flyer that can get in through the air and a decent size ground creature. Another thing you could do is make a 1/1 out of a creature with crazy stats but a drawback, generally this would make you sac the creature, then keep the stats and sac/kill the drawback. Examples of both of the above include, deepfathom skulker, Dimir Cutpurse, Dune Brood Nephalim, Phyrexian Dreadnought, cosmic larvae, death's shadow, phyrexian Soul Gorger or Nyxathid. I definitly think the second is the more powerful option, but the people who really like the first type of abilities would probably enjoy that.

I run Tamiyo's Journal in my monowhite commander deck and I feel that card is really overlooked. It's an amazing tutor especially if your 99 can produce clue tokens.

I really feel like Brisela is going to be best in a Teeg deck. For one, you get a much stronger lock going (opponents can only cast creatures costing 4+, and no other spells,) but it also gives you access to all of the creature tutors.

I think the new emrakul is only really meant for 60 card formats. That is okay. The rules of magic explicitly prevent lands from ever having a casting cost. I love the new video format
