Wow all those comments are crazy. Killing that commander right after having benefited of its card draw and for no reason whatsoever... I would've done exactly the same as Josh. There and then I'd throw the game and make Jimmy understand that you can get pettiness for days after those kinds of actions

I noticed a couple of miss plays. The 1st was when the Quaartswood Dinosaur dealt damage, it only creates 1 creature equal to damage dealt. Not multiple creatures. Also when Jimmy bounced the merfolk with the land ability, he didn't pay the ward cost, so the ability should have been countered, if he pays the one, he can't cast the Boros Charm to give his stuff indestructible on Voxys turn

When you brewed a deck and it did what it you built it to do, that is a win for me. Great plays on everyone. Should not have discarded that land tho.

I’d disagree that cEDH players don’t want a story. Personally, I really enjoy the game most when a huge stack of interaction resolves. I think of it as wizards doing battle which is what I love.

Jeweled lotus sure, dockside extortionist, absolutely… but I don’t think crypt NEEDED to go, it’s functionally just another sol ring that you’ll see rarely if ever, having both crypt and ring in your deck merely increases the odds of drawing into ONE of them, I never saw mana crypt as particularly problematic. Dockside and lotus on the other hand are super abusable and broken af in commander

I bought chromatic lantern for my 3 color go wide deck bc I had some issues sometimes with drawing the correct colors and it’s helped a ton 😅. Tapping that plains for black, when I have that, 2 black, 2 of any color spell In my hand makes it worth it for me lol

If commander is a “casual” format, why is there even a ban list. Let playgroups decide on their own. Having other people you don’t even play with tell you what is fun and what’s not is ridiculous. And the rarity or strength of cards is a zero factor. Especially with Proxies and playgroup play styles.

i disagree about the no mass land destruction...there are so many ways to add a few things into a deck that allow you to play around mass land destruction...however people dont want to/choose not to add those pieces to their decks and that is their choice. I shouldnt have to curtail how i build a deck because you dont want to add things that deal with it, and instead just add more combo pieces to your own deck instead
