Your friendship with Jessie is so adorable. Every introvert needs a lively friend like Janine who breaks them out of their shells but can also talk about big, deep topics. Thanks for this video!

Well words ain't enough to describe how good was this video. It's truly amazing to see world class players be so humble and talk openly about the mental struggles of the game and to see how much work they put in not only to train their body but especially their mind and how to cope with all the feelings that being a professional athlete include. In my opinion the thing that stood out for me is how happiness in football is more than titles, money etc it is all about the happiness of the small things. This mindset can easily be translated to the fans too. Because sometimes as fans we only care about wining and we are very harsh especially on the internet and we forget all the good things that being football fans brings us, so yes even for our perspective as fans happiness and success of our team must not be measured only from the winning percentage !!!

As a Canadian I can honestly say this was the most Canadian interview ever. Awkward and polite. 100% 🇨🇦

This is awesome. I am not saying that they don't exist, but it is hard to imagine two similar male footballers having this level of conversation with each other, let alone posting it on you tube for the whole world to see

Just stumbled on to this interview as my KZbin feed plays....watching our hometown girl & Olympic champ, Jessie!! (btw - it's Dan JANSEN...). This is so interesting to listen to non-traditional (i.e. not pro hockey/football/basketball), high performance athletes talk about what drives them to perform. I've been following the women's national team constantly since that incredible and heartbreaking 2012 Olympic run. You ladies are so funny and real - I know that you haven't been doing this type of podcast/talk interview format, but I think you're real good ....keep up the good work!!

Beckie talking about having depth to get trophies is spot on. Having world class players on the bench is what is going to have Chelsea win the League and probably the Champions League.

Hi Janine can I ask you a question? As a city player who has clearly worked hard who had been in the position you’re in, how has The Lord and Jesus helped you with your work ethic? I’m struggling with motivation myself and would like to hear your thoughts on this as a child of god. God Bless!

Nice shade of red on the cheeks, "Jeff." 😉. Hilarious, but you're probably sick of that now. I really like how you folks were chatting about mental toughness and mental self-care. I've never liked how tennis or other such sports scream at their boxes; your approach is so much better. Whenever I find I'm getting too short with myself, I try to correct and be my own coach. No question that sometimes tough love is needed, but you just wouldn't put up with someone swearing at you and tearing you down all the time... so why would we let ourselves talk to ourselves like that? Cheers fr Nova Scotia
