Yep, I think Dan had get er brewed on speed dial checking when it was due in. We've also bought a plate chiller but need more reseach on both... Next brew day might be back on the Klarstein - we know where we are with that one 🤣🤣🍻🍻

Good luck and enjoy it. Great idea to get a plate chiller! You can put it in ice cold water. The klarstein is good but might be a bit small if you both use kegs but as you said, it’s nice because you know it well and great for specialities like Christmas beers! Cheers

We are still going to brave the elements outside when at my place. But yes, very lucky to be in a position (and have the space... it's a whopper) to buy the upgrade. 🍻👍

Cheers Chris, kegs or mini kegs at the very least. Don't fancy bottling 120ish beers. On the keg subject we had 5 kegs given us and Dan bought one... just not used them much.

What’s the story lads . Have you used it yet ? I am actually thinking of up grading myself to a bigger vessel. I was looking at the xxl model of the karlestein . For double brewing recipes I like save a bit of time won’t need to brew as often. Cheers Graham

Hi Graham, in a word no... Bit scarred of the beast to tell the truth. We've done another 3 on the klarstein though🤣 A brown porter, speckled hen clone and an English IPA - love that kettle! We've bought a chiller plate to speed up the cool down but haven't bought the pipes or done the research to use it - i think this is the hold up. Like you we want to do some double brews and just see if we can keep the quality. Take care Graham and have a great Christmas.

@@TheGingerBrewers a you be grand judging on all your other brews you will have no problem just double the amount of everything I would imagine. How much did it cost you in the uk ? It’s 715 in Ireland. I can get a 50ltr karlestein for 520 so not sure what to do , I have a few brews aging now myself be ready for Christmas. Aha, Mr Claws himself. Dan has just dropped off a load of old speckled hen we brewed a couple of weeks ago. I have an English pale ale in the fermenter ready to bottle on Friday before refilling with a stout from another brew day this Friday night! Phew.... all go at the ginger brewers. What about you? Anything extra Christmasy?

WoW loads of good beer!! We have bottled gostship ready and a bass draught bass with burton on Trent water chemistry in the fermenter that we are going to put in a keg. Next brew at Christmas and we have to choose which beer. Might be a Belgian or a Porter 😄

Don't worry fella, the klarstein will be used when we brew at my place. We've decided to try speciality brewing in the klarstein and big batch in the brewster. 😉
