how would you recommend to add and mix a sugar solution for bottle conditioning if the tank is pressurized.

I would suggest simply using pressure to carbonate instead, if possible. If not then its going to be much easier to use carbonation drops according to bottle size.

Should i get a € 1.775,00 F40 Unitank or a € 850,00 SS Brewtech Bright Beer Tank. In my GF CCT i'm not getting any clear beer. No matter how many times i dump my hops residue. Cold crashing it for 3 days, and then I use a Beergun for filling 0.5 cl bottle's with some priming sugar 7grams/Liter. I like the Jacketed cooling on the F40 and the optional 500 watt heating element. But im afraid that clearing the beer in this F40 for 3 weeks with some yeast residue would not be good for the end product.

Hi David. Have you already reviewed the unitank?
@DavidHeathHomebrew2 жыл бұрын
I am hesitant to offer what many call a “review” these days and prefer a more honest title of “Overview and first impressions”. There really cannot be a final word on something until many months of testing and by then people consider the product to be old news.

Great video David. I've placed an order and hoping it'll arrive in the near future. I still need to purchase a glycol chiller for it tho. I'm wondering if you have had any experience with any other glycol chillers other that the grain fathers? I can't seem to find any other reviews on your channel. Big plus if you have used a ss brewtech or ice master G20 and have any feedback
@DavidHeathHomebrew3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kurt. Sadly not due to availability here in Norway. There are pros and cons here though and the GF GC has its own built in pump and can serve up to 4 vessels at the same time.
@davidfoxton79053 жыл бұрын
Nice summary one question what are the losses from the fermenter ( “ignoring” hop losses) so voloume from racking arm to dump valve if you get my drift. On the 7G ssbrewtech I usually have around 2.5L. So fill to 26.5 and keg 24L.
@DavidHeathHomebrew3 жыл бұрын
I have now discussed this with Brewtools. The problem is this is a real variable depending on the yeast and beer. I do not think you will find it so different to your current experience.
@niklastrippler10533 жыл бұрын
@@DavidHeathHomebrew I guess you could dump the yeast first, then keg from the lowest port if you wanted to minimize losses. First pour from keg would probably be more yeasty though.

Hello David, another great video. Thanks. A question, when you will share a video using this unitank with grainfather glycol chiller. Will be great if you could explain in how we could connect both systems and how to use them together. A last question :) I have a grainfather G70, my batches are usually between 50-65 liters. Do you think that the unitank F80 is good enough, or I could go for the F140. My point is, the F80 is ideal for20-75l bathes and the F150 for 40-140l batches, since my batches are around 60 liters, both fermenters will work. If I decide for the bigger fermenter, then, in the future, If I increase my production, I just need to buy a kettle with higher capacity, since I already have the fermenter. Please, let me know if this make sense for you or I’m missing something here? Thanks a lot.

As for which Brewtools unitank I think the F80 is the better choice for you. The F150 is going to use a lot of gas on 60L batch for a start.

Great video as always. When I was looking to go stainless, jacketed conicals were my first choice, but there were few options. These vessels are impressive tanks, but they do carry an impressive price too. While I've already invested in the Spike ecosystem and quite happy, (1 Flex+ and 1 CF10), if I were to do it again, I still don't think I'd pay up to the Brewtools level. Gorgeous vessels tho.
