We spent 40 years arguing about being in the EU rather than getting on with making the most of membership and ignoring rules that didn't suit like every other member. For G*d's sake let's just get on with making the best of being out of the EU. Being in or out isn't the most important thing it's getting with making the best of the situation for Britain

I think a vast majority of the UK would celebrate if we ever rejoin the EU. Brexit has led to an increase in immigration, a deteriorating economy, and significant impacts on our international relations and global standing. There have been no benefits of Brexit, so why are you against going back? It's the only sensible thing to do.

@@Brian-ov7yn You don't need to be afraid that the UK will rejoin the EU. EU citizens have already told EU politicians that if the UK wants to rejoin the EU, EU citizens want to vote on whether they can! So you can say GB stay away! But apparently you don't realize that the UK has sunk 1.5 trillion into the Thames since BREXIT! The fact that the UK is now sinking 140 billion every year is no longer important.

Those who have 'ruled' since Brexit have failed. Where it has succeeded is by removing that layer of protection for those who have failed it. 100% accountable now and all they have is each other to point the finger of blame at.... and we point the finger at them. Tories are out, Labour are next, EU protectionists were always going to be the next hurdle.

Kate is absolutely right. In 2008, the EU & US GDP were about level. Since then, the US' GDP has doubled, whereas the EU & UK have stagnated. Albeit, our economy has faired a little better than the main EU economies. Over the last 20 - 30 years, our politicians have been infected with the EU style of politics, their, bureaucracy, lethargy and over regulation. And of course, they've had the cheek to draw their over inflated salaries, doing nothing other than polish those green leather benches with their fat *rses, and rubber stamp EU laws. The fault wasn't Brexit, it was the political establishment, that deliberately set out to undermine it.
@w47w4 сағат бұрын
The fact that the USA has built up its GDP with just as much debt is no longer of interest! USA could pay 1 trillion $ interest for the first time this year! USA GDP debt 2008/ 10845 trillion and 2024/ 35294, so 24449 trillion higher debt! USA GDP 2008/ 14770 trillion and 2024/ 29168, so 14398 trillion more GDP. So if we subtract the GDP debt from the USA GDP, we have a big MINUS of -10051 trillion! So great swap or rather a lot of money sunk for supposedly super strong USA GDP!!! Your relative could be Farage, he tells exactly the same BULLSHIT! Your Kate tells the purest bullshit that you still believe. You are not alone, there are even more GB citizens who are too stupid to google e.g. Statista USA GDP and USA GDP Debt!
@w47w4 сағат бұрын
Compared to the USA, the EU is absolutely top rated! US GDP debt over 130% and rising, EU 80% and falling! If the EU would do it like the USA, the EU would easily overtake the USA in GDP!

@brookeandheather10234 сағат бұрын
The result had to be honoured because it was a simple majority referendum and that’s that. Had it gone the other way Brexiteers would only have been encouraged to continue their campaign, so it’s a little disingenuous to continue moaning about Remainers. Was a simple majority referendum the appropriate method to make such a momentous decision, not for me it wasn’t, but that matters not. As sure as night follows day Brexit was going to usher in ever more immigration. Only the most naive thought otherwise. All the guff about democracy is hilarious. As though a population unceasingly fed a narrative determined by people who think the populous stupid, can make an informed choice. It’s the stuff of fantasy. This Labour gov’t has a huge majority in parliament but it’s non existent with the electorate but they’re behaving as though they have a significant majority in the country. Democracy? Doesn’t seem like much of one to me.
