If you remember anything about Russel Brand from the 2010's or have watched any of his old comedy shows, you know these allegations are true. He's talked openly about having sex with young girls after his shows to a prolific extent, he'd talk about how girls would deliberately lie about their age to sleep with him, he used his fame to have an insane amount of hookups. There's clips of him admitting to it on Howard Stern that he would use weird, cult-like language about divinity and spirituality to convince girls to have sex with him. His sex addiction and drug problems were very out in the open, it's only 'popping up' again now because his new audience base is a different demographic than the people who used to watch his comedy specials back when he was considered a left-wing hippie. It's crazy how many people forgot how he acted now that he's a right-wing conspiracy youtuber. It might be a new generation of viewers who weren't old enough to have seen his public spiraling and drug benders.

What gets me is you can in fact be a political commentator that critiques both Democrat and Republicans, but let's also be clear, treating them as equivalent is wholly wrong. Call out democrats for being shitty, but by God we can make it a false equivolence. Saying they're equally bad is like saying sugar and heroine are equally addictive. Yes they're both addictive, both can theoretically be okay with adequate supervision and moderation (more in the sense heroine and morphine are actually the same but heroine is acetylated so it hits your brain faster so I'm sure there is in fact utility in a medical context). However fuck you are delusional if you see them as the same. Republicans aren't in right field anymore they're in the fucking parking lot scalping tickets. So far as I'm concerned any system that naturally forms only two parties is rife for abuse. I want every seat to be competivie and I want every politician to fight for your votes. I want people to vote their conscience and even if that is in fact shitty. Why? Because if you had a non first past post system, and you saw that say 15% of people put a neonazi candidate as their first choice, and their second as the republican, even if the Nazi didn't win, congrats we now have an understanding of the Nazi problem. However if it was only 1% with them as first choice, and otherwise they were dead last for everyone else that would be comforting. Those fascists would at least know they voted their conscience, and the rest of us would be able to go holy fuck that's still a lot of people...
